Um, exactly which team is MDU? Because I don't think I've heard of them... And Redwing, CAMPION is the WORST OFFICIAL in the WCHA. I don't know why people think otherwise. I'm loving Don Adam right now, even though the 'Dogs got more penalties than the Gophers last night, but at least he called some necessary ones on the Gophers. The 'Dogs scored on a delayed penalty and on a 5X5 that was directly after their power play ended, so we were abel to capitalize. He did call one penalty (the only one of the 3rd period) that was TOTALLY a Gopher dive, they wouldn't even show the replay. I thought the Gophers looked totally sluggish. They were lazy toward the end of the night, their fans were booing and yelling at them to start skating. Spearing is a really bad penalty to take, and I haven't seen it called all that much. Kilpatrick from CC got a spearing penalty last weekend (Zelkin was the ref, and he calls everything kind of penalty in the books.) But I don't think refs call spearing, or give game DQs or misconducts without really giving a reason. I think whatever Rory did deserved the penalty. If someone who actually saw the game can refute this for me, by all means, do. My opinion is just based on the gravity of the call and the infrequency with which these calls are made. It's not obstruction or interference, which happens all the time and isn't always called (or is called too often). You can always argue those types of penalties.

Oh man, that's a pisser for UAA. I can't believe how long they took to rule the goal a goal. It makes me suspicious.

Maybe if we'd been to both, we would have swept.

Hey fellas! Congrats on the win. Oh man am I fired up about the 'Dogs win tonight. We ended up standing the whole game and I nearly fell over the railing about 100 times. I actually had the police standing behind me for over half the game. Since when does LOVING HOCKEY and CHEERING LOUDLY bother people so much. The 'Dogs absolutely DOMINATED. I mean it. 5X5 shots on goal were something like 36-14, the Rodents only really got shots on the power play. The 'Dogs left some fatty boom batty rebounds out there and no one could cash in. The Gophers were making mistakes left and right, let me tell you. They are falling apart. So, it's 3-2, only a few minutes left, they're getting ready to pull the goalie, and there are people leaving? I am ashamed for them! They call themselves hockey fans? I always stay till the bitter end.

Your goaltender's showing his true colors, your precious Ryan Potulny's star is going supernova, and the 'Dogs are going to come in to your house and send your little boys crying for their mommies. Of course, we're going to have to do it despite all the total bullsh!t penalties the refs will give us because the Don pays them off. But the game-tying goal was scored on Friday by Travis Gawryletz after he killed a penalty for 2:00 and then he and Hammond skated down ice and buried one. We're used to the crap penalties, it's not going to work! Quiet? Ha!

Speaking of that, is anyone going to be there next weekend? I mean BESIDES ME!!!!!!!!!!! (Yes I am excited.)

'Dogs swept the Gophers at home waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back last season...and then the Gophs came to our house and we swept them there too. And we will sweep them NEXT WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's GO DOGS!!!!!!!!

Now that's pathetic. (Although the 'Dogs fans booed their #1 team... I thought that was pathetic too) The 'Dogs may have had a tough year, but they were underperforming before, and anyone who knows anything about hockey knows that. This weekend they played much more like the team they were supposed to be all year.

Yeah what a thug. They replayed it a few times (the announcers could not believe a Gopher would be called for a penalty.) He absolutely bowled the guy over. There was no need to cross check, I'm sure the guy was already hurting. The Sic, I know I can't believe anyone would say anything of the sort about Anderson, but it's true, and Schmidtdoggydogg is right. But really, that was good for the Gophers, as Tech's PP is one of the best in the conference AND in the country. Of course someone forgot to tell Chris Harrington...

Ends in a tie... but who cares? I bet they thought they'd be bringing out the broom. Let's get 3 of 4. Just like Tech will, right NDH?

I know, I mean, the same 4 guys were out there for about 2:30 on the penalty kill and then 5 on 5 after Luke came back, and Travis Gawryletz got that goal. WHAT an EFFORT. Inspirational for the rest of the team, I hope.
