Aww now I'm getting warm fuzzies. And of course it's one and the same, that's why I said it! I'm not really all that mad, because it's not like people won't continue to act like we're the enemy. I'm more mad about the way some of the fans are talking about your team and each other.

Ok, I've got a lot to say. First of all, neither UMDDogz nor I have EVER, EVER flamed. QUOTE ME! I'm dead serious. Read every post I've ever made or my brother has ever made (which will take you a LONG time since he's #16 and I'm #53 in postings) and PROVE TO ME a time we've EVER flamed, or been total homers, or been Gopher fans, or anything else. Secondly, calling any team in the WCHA team second-rate makes you seem like you don't know anything about college hockey, Goon, which I don't think is true. I mean, that's why I post on this board, because Sioux fans know more about hockey than just about any other fans I know. I don't come here because I want everyone to love the 'Dogs (ok, everyone should, but I'm not trying to force it here), I come here because I want to talk about HOCKEY. Not "Beer, Booze, and Babes" like the Penalty Box. I joined POI but never posted because I had no respect for the majority of the hosers over there. I'm sick and tired of people jumping down our throats when we have a different opinion, because we're not Sioux fans. Who said we aren't Sioux fans? Additionally, I agree with some of the fans on here who are fed up with the way people are acting about one bad season. There is so much to be proud of in the Sioux hockey tradition that you don't need to go out on a ledge somewhere because you have a first-year coach, a group of seniors who aren't living up to what they could be, and fans in the stands that want everyone to sit down and be quiet. I'm looking at my team, who had the potential to be a real contender in the league, and will be decimated next year after the seniors leave, and, though I've made some deprecating comments about the 'Dogs, I haven't thrown in the towel. I have seen them through some rough seasons, I will see them through some more. Don't get spoiled by success. If you're going to pass out the blame, why isn't anyone blaming Zach Parise for leaving? Imagine what he could have done for the Sioux this year. The most sane argument I've heard is the conditioning argument, which was well-thought out and backed by some stats. Maybe Blais would have had the same problem. You don't know. MOST IMPORTANTLY, a lot of people on here are acting like children. YOU ARE ALL SIOUX FANS. QUIT FIGHTING AMONGST YOURSELF. If you were all having beers together and talking about the game instead of typing on this message board, none of this sh-t would be happening. And FOR THE LAST TIME, I KNOW THIS IS A UND SITE.

UAA can be tough (can't believe I said that), so don't let it get you down.
-
Does that mean you're going to quit making those long posts?
-
Sounds like he's not hurting too bad from that injury
-
Was anyone killed in that one?

... and sometimes it pours? cross your fingers.

Honestly, man, I don't even know why you bother with that anymore. I want to puke every time I look at how many times the 'Dogs have outshot an opponent and lost, and I know you're in the same boat. There's a point where it just gets too frustrating to look.

Well, after tonight, I don't know, no one would cheer for my poor 'Dogs... Of course the Sioux. But really, you're losing and then your goalie gets a penalty? GET HIM OUT OF THERE! I was reminded tonight of the creativity and guts of your previous coach. Robbie Earl?? Take a dive?? NEVER!
-
I was at that game too, and I thought it was totally exciting. I didn't really have an allegiance at the time so I was just there to drink some beer and see some hockey. Watching it again tonight reminded me of all the exciting moments of the game, for both teams.

It has to come all the way from Alaska.

hey now, don't be calling me names like that. I'm not UMDDogz. And I don't understand your question. There IS instant replay in Denver. It malfunctioned. If it WAS working I wouldn't be sitting here right now because we'd be in overtime. But when you've got one defenseman in the box 4 times and 2 PPGs as a result of his time in the box then you've got a problem. And no, it wasn't even Jay Rosehill!
-
yeah, yeah, I know you're just all hurting my feelings Just kidding. I was just trying to see if SOMEONE out there would be rooting for my 'Dogs.
-
Exactly WHY are people cheering for Denver??? Please explain. I'm so pissed. The man was OBVIOUSLY IN THE CREASE. The reason the goal was not overturned? TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES. They couldn't get the replay to work! That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Although 2 PPGs and 1 SH are making me less angry. The 'Dogs are playing really well ::knock wood:: However, at least 2 of the goals shouldn't have been goals, one went right under him as he was trying to make the save and one he left a fatty boom batty rebound out there. 'Dogs are still winning. I've got my lucky jersey on and my lucky Dad in Denver at the game. I see UMDDogz is carefully avoiding the thread tonight so he can be surprised when he comes home. Having fun listening to the UAA feed?

2-1 Bulldogs after 1, Denver starts the period with a PP. Why give a hook with 3 seconds left when there's no breakaway or even a real scoring chance? Grr. 'Dogs do have a PPG! I hope my brother isn't reading this because he is taping it.
-
Hey the Sioux just came back in the 3rd period to tie it 4-4 with a short-hander by Brandon Bochenski... I mean, uh... where's the 'Dogs game??
-
SHAVED Gophers....how's that going to help?!?!

Doesn't it sound like the team just had a sleepover party and got into someone's dad's clippers? Maybe they got into the mom's nail polish and makeup, too. -
Ok, #1, I was referring to the FINAL FIVE. I guess that wasn't clear, sorry. But I saw the Gophers play last Saturday, and it was a sad, sad effort. I saw them play against Tech, too, and they looked like crap. We got beat by Tech tonight, but at least we made it to overtime. If we face the Gophers in the first round of the WCHA PLAYOFFS they will be watching from the stands. And crying.

Hey fellas, Depressing night. I had to work so I was just waiting for phone calls. When the 'Dogs tied it up, I thought they had a prayer. Not so much, as it turned out. I see the Gophers getting swept in Wisconsin. They're done. I hope we see them in the first round. We bought the TV webcast so no posting tomorrow night. Good luck, try for a split.
