I had a really great time, it was nice to meet MafiaMan, '01grad, and Reformed Gophr Fan, plus all the other cool people who don't post on here. Once again, Sioux fans were a total class act, only a little good-natured teasing from a few folks. Think if I'd been watching with Dirty BADger fans....

Marco Peluso TY: 23 Penalties, 54 PIM LY: 25 Penalties, 75 PIM It's not just the Sioux. And there's a HUGE difference between this year and last year. Also, no one else on the team really ever steps up and defends the little guys from all the cheap shots they take, so Peluso's gotta defend them himself. He's not a goon. Goons don't score goals. But someone else was the person who was talking about how he looks, and I was just saying he's not the ugliest person out there. I mean, he's not even the ugliest Bulldog. Isaac is a junior, not a senior. Go Seawolves! I hate Wisconsin too, for many of the same reasons as yours. I've had some bad experiences in Wisconsin. I get some people to shut up because I usually prove I know more about hockey than they do, but others are just foaming at the mouth. Never been to Mankato, but I should try it next year, as they are not that far away.

Are you being sarcastic? It's not necessarily an advantage for the Gophers as much as it is a disadvantage to the #1 seed and the winner of the play-in game. I mean, I really can't believe I'm explaining this, but if the winner of the play-in game has to play Thursday night and then Friday afternoon, you don't think that's going to totally SUCK for them? Plus, the #1 seed deserves to have the prime coverage. If the Gophers are the #1 seed, more power to them, they can have the night game fair and square. But if they aren't, well... "F*ck them"

They're jerks and clueless about hockey. I've been to several games there and they have been so rude to me. The student section makes a lot of noise, but they are just biding their time until football starts again. And no one in any of the other sections does anything.

He was pretty funny, when the Cows scored their first goal, he stood up (on his bar stool, I think) and started yelling. Gotta admire his enthusiasm for his team. Somehow we got stuck near a.) the Gophers fans who didn't realize there were a zillion other bars that would show their stupid game and b.) the bizarro Iowa fans who were freaking out. I really really really wanted to yell "Go Spartans!" but I think I might have been punched.

I'm shell-shocked, like the whole 'Dogs bench is... BUT I would like to say how awesome the Sioux fans were that I met last night. Usually when your team gets blown out like that, some a$$holes decide to taunt you like it was your own personal fault. That didn't happen last night at all. Ah yes, Killian's is my beer of choice, but I had too much of it. Spilled on my jersey. And yes, we got beat by a team that's not "that good" as I said. But like I commented before, OUTSTANDING defense kept the 'Dogs away from the net most of the night. I guess the "not that good" warning should be more directed at the team, so they don't get cocky and blow this thing, as I can see some fans are concerned about. Uh yeah, I hope you're not referring to me. Cause I'm not fat, nor are my glasses thick. Who knows? It's been very stressful for me this season. I mean, I'm not surprised the Sioux can put up numbers like that. I'm more surprised that they haven't done it more. But the 'Dogs, when they are on their game, would have made this the tight game everyone was expecting.
