Something to do on Friday between games: The Hobey Baker Award Ceremony takes place on Friday, the day before the national championship game. It will take place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, home of the Columbus Blue Jackets. The ceremony begins at 2:30 p.m. ET, and is preceeded by the USCHO Town Hall Meeting (1 p.m.). A reception, held immediately following the Award Ceremony, gives fans a chance to celebrate along with the winner. Cost: Free and open to the public

Great game and exposure for Genoway last night! I over looked him for most of the season because of the reasons stated in the article, and have been watching out for him lately. He is playing with pure determination on the ice.

The video is just horrific to watch. The DU player purposefully preps to drill him into the boards by bending at the needs and extending. As you can see in the picture below, both of the refs watch it happen and only call a 2 minute penalty. Just Awful.

Gameworks (super arcade) downtown in Block E is pretty fun. More expensive than the old quarter arcade games, but fun to do once in a while. They had cool metal tipped darts, that would keep score electronically. Air and Bubble hockey. My wife works for the new Mill City Museum, which tells the story of the history of Minneapolis. Starting from the water power to drive the flour mills, which generated some of the worlds largest brands (Pillsbury, General Mills), to all the medical device companies starting around here because of all the farmers who got there arms tore off in farming accidents. Interesting connections.

I really enjoyed the 5 games in 3 days also. I wish there would be more Sat/Sun afternoon series during the regular season, so that you could see more games in a weekend.

stuckinfargo- That was best goal tending I have ever seen! They would have scored 20+ goals if we had an average goalie. If you ever move to minneapolis I would love for you to play on my AHA recreational team, the Chiefs. This is a fun league with both summer and winter seasons. Something to fill the hockey void after the Frozen 4.

The team looked great in green MafiaMan! Thanks for supplying the jerseys. Someone should be posting some photos of the game soon so that you can see. A lot of the people may still be driving home.

The POI/GPL Board says the game is today at 12:15 at VMIA.

Awesome win! Man was that a fast paced game. Maybe it was just because I had 3rd row seats for the first time this season, but I was getting worn out just watching it because they were so fast. OK, maybe it was because I had too much beer to drink, but a wins a win. Lets go Sioux! Genoway was sweet out there.

I'm still scratching my head over how last year Denver just shut down the high scoring power that we had, and went the distance. It will be interesting to see what they do in the playoffs this year.

Next year we should all try to buy tickets in the same section so that we can have this BIG massive roudy group. We could do across from the players benches in one of the sections 102-105. After this weekend we can do a poll for favorite section. Check out the Xcel Center Seat Map

During the playoffs there can easily be 75-100 Sioux fans at Sensers. Let's get the place rocking again so they turn up the game audio.
