  1. If you don't have ESPN2, then the quickest link to watch the game is: JK:// Put_on_Jacket / Start_your_Car / Drive_to_Bar.
  2. For those who want to listen to the USA games over the web, they added this webcast: mms://mediaserver.nauticom.net/www-redzonemedia-com-8 Not sure if that link will work every night, so you might have to check for updates on the USA Hockey site.
  3. One of the satelite guys (Chris Wilkes) at the Ralph responded with the following about our consistant request to "turn up the power": "The theory about everything working better last year at the old coordinates so the power must be down at the UpLink is not true. The UpLink facility is running 3dB or more hotter than last year (as directed to do so by PanAm Sat). FYI, 3dB is double the power. The UpLink facility can not just turn up the power. A satellite signal loading is like balancing act. It is set and monitored very carefully by skilled personnel." They also recommended going to a larger dish: "The one recommendation I have is a larger dish if possible. If it can be installed by yourself it can also be more economical than anything else. A doubling the sizes of the dish will give you roughly 6 dB of gain over the small dish. My guess is that you have about 5.5 dB signal to noise receiving the UND signal. Doubling the size of the dish would get you around 12 dB signal to noise or more. (being conservative). Also, doubling the size of the dish gives you a narrower beam width. This means that signals on adjacent satellites will not interfere as much." The Ralph would also like someone to do the following: "Would it be possible for someone to verify the signal to noise with a Spectrum Analyzer? This cold help greatly in pinning down the difficulty."
  4. Hope you enjoy your trip. You can find many suggestions in this thread: http://siouxsports.com/forums/index.php?sh...935&mode=linear
  5. My favorite cheer is when a dead gopher slides across the ice.
  6. EVEN MORE WORSE AND LAME is that goofer fans do both of these, and follow it up with a spelling competition...
  7. I would buy a green version if you are looking at putting together a larger order. I could find some shoulder patches later.
  8. UMN.......28 44 UW.........28 40 CC.........28 40 UND.......28 39 Denver...28 38 UMD.......28 24 Mankato.28 18 AA.........28 16 SCSU.....28 14 MTech....28 7
  9. If the Sioux were not playing CC on Jan 14, I would love to go cheer for the Mavs against the goofers at the Xcel center. Of course I would be wearing a Sioux jersey. I might also do this for the Dogs when they play the goofers in minneapolis on Jan 28th, when we are playing the Beavers.
  10. And tonight Bo will be going against Parise and the Albany River Rats. That would be fun to watch.
  11. Is it just me, or does the audio feed have terible static, like listening to AM radio in a tunnel?
  12. So fun to see the WCHA doing so well with 5 of the top 8 teams! Team (First Place) Record Pts Last Week 1 Minnesota (36) 10-3-0 596 3 2 Boston College (2) 6-2-2 527 4 3 Colorado College (2) 10-2-0 512 5 4 Wisconsin 10-4-0 503 2 5 Michigan 9-4-1 440 1 6 North Dakota 9-5-2 353 7 7 Denver 8-5-0 309 10 8 New Hampshire 8-3-2 307 6 9 Ohio State 9-4-1 282 9 10 Maine 9-6-1 267 8 11 Vermont 8-4-3 202 15 12 Cornell 5-2-2 151 14 13 Colgate 10-4-0 100 NR 14 Minnesota-Duluth 7-5-2 93 12 15 Northern Michigan 6-4-2 56 13
  13. I bought a PC to Video cable (http://grandtec.com/ultimateEZ.htm) that just converts your monitor signal to a RCA style video cable. This works great and does not require S-video cards in your PC, nor S-video on your older/cheaper TV's. You will also need a cheap audio converter to convert from your PC head phone jack to the RCA style jack on your TV or Stereo. There are also fancier audio converters, but the audio signal over the web is very low quality, so you are not losing anything. All of the above can be done, but if you are going to watch a lot of games I would just buy the satelite system or find a local bar that will tune the games in. For me watching the games on your TV is better than a PC, and watching at a bar is better yet.
  14. Is the Bloomington Sensors going to have the sound on this year? I watched the BC game there without sound.
  15. The Sioux season is off to such a crappy start, we thought the Dogs should join us.
  16. I heard the "Pikes" (what ever that is) reserved space for tonight's game. I don't think it is a regular thing.
  17. I will be at the Saturday night game in section 201. Does anyone know what bars are fun to hit in Mankato for pregame?
  18. Is there a web audio broadcast for Friday's game?
  19. my connection is down too.
  20. Does anyone know why Joe Sensor's in Bloomington, MN will not have tonights game on their satelite system? For us Sioux fans in Minneapolis, Sensors is basically The Ralph South on weekend nights. They carried all the games they could last year. They said that UND changed the satelite coordinates a couple of weeks ago, and now they will need to get new dishes installed. Couldn't they just reposition the existing dishes? For you satelite installers, you might be able to get some work if you can fix their problem. Give them a call at 952-835-1191. Please!!!
