If UND was fine with the Alerus as the long term football facility, they wouldn't have done an athletics master plan facilities that didn't include the Alerus Sica's post. Sure it will take a lot of money and years to come to fruition, but there are some forward thinking folks involved. Some of us, were and are hoping that things happen a little quicker, but with the delays that we have seen with the indoor practice facility, it may take a lot longer than I hoped.

UND needs to create this kind of support for all of the sports. Hardee has done a great job in bringing VB from obscurity to prominence. UND now has the largest crowd to ever watch a VB match (2,394) to go along with the largest crowd to watch college BB (13,280) in ND. Sioux top Bison in front of largest volleyball crowd in UND history I got to watch bits and pieces of the match and it sounded like the home crowd was really into it.

Nice job ladies. Keep the win streak going.

Sound familiar? ........Worst Loss Ever

A year ago I may have agreed with this. I think Jones is building a pretty good basketball team right now. I'm looking forward to the upcoming season, which is something that I couldn't have said a couple of years ago. The soccer team also made some strides at the end of last season and are not doing too badly this season. Swimming and DIving continues to improve and will do fine in Division I. Football has me most concerned, but maybe things will change in FB this year like they did for BB last year.

I think the problem that we have with the excitement level is that we have a coach who is trying not to lose. I attended a game last year and the guy sitting in front of me was from California and was just there to watch football and wasn't cheering for either team. At halftime he turned around and asked me "what is wrong with your coach". It was his observation that Mussman was trying not to lose. I watch a lot of Saints football and one of the things I like about Payton is he isn't afraid to take chances. The Sioux need to get back to the Lennon ways and play to win.

Congrats to the ladies on another sweep.

UND VOLLEYBALL: Sioux hammer future Big Sky opponent

Hmmm, let me ponder would it better to keep the name and have no conference for the majority of our sports, be blackballed by some schools and have attendance that would rival high school football or would it be better to be in the Big Sky and have something to play for, have top quality teams playing in GF and get folks excited? Hmmm, this one is tough. You do know, 7>5, that UND isn't in the Big Sky until next year?? You deserve to get ripped.

The defense played well enough to shut Drake out, but I agree with the point about the blitzing. When they blitzed, the Drake QB had a much more difficult time, than when the Sioux brought 3-4 men at him.

Offense....Too many penalties. Defense.... Not enough blitzing. Bradley had some good flashes and is a vast improvement from last year. Both Sutton and Miller looked good. W Sioux have some work to do to clean up the mistakes. Next up Idaho. Go Sioux!!

UND FOOTBALL: Bradley in the spotlight I was hoping Garman would be redshirted, but am excited to see him play. I predicted 27-14 over on the attendance thread. I'll stick with it.

Grant Shaft's letter back to Carlson. Carlson is the one that wanted the meeting with the NCAA and now wants to disregard what was discussed and agreed upon. Hopefully the voters of Fargo will show him the door next election.

I do understand that the SBoHE has to follow state law. My point, whether I am right of wrong, is that the legislature stepped over constitutional lines in making their law requiring UND be the Fighting Sioux. Will they now pass a law saying that the presidents of the institutions now report to them? What other laws can they make taking power away from the SBoHE? Al saw an avenue to grab power and he took it. The AG should have shut it down, the governor shouldn't have signed it, but we are now in this mess and now Al is mad because he got a pie in his face.

If a judge (judicial branch of the government) violates the law does he get sent to the judge's timeout room or state pen?
