Weren't there some posters from another school that were claiming that USD got their approval months ago and since UND didn't, there must be some problem with UND. From what came out yesterday all of the schools that were moving received thier notice this week, not months ago..... Dan?

Pensacola Campus - Pensacola Regional Medical School Campus - FSU College of Medicine The real medical school is in Tallahassee and the regional campuses for training are under FSU's umbrella. Didn't Williston used to be UND-Williston? Maybe if they want to train doctors, they should go back to that.

I read the piece, but didn't read it the same way you did. I read it as they wanted to work with UND. Also, I believe the constitution places the medical school at UND. I can't believe the state would support two medical schools. It makes more sense to keep the school at UND and have the students do their residency in Williston.

I would love North Dakota Cavalry, but I just don't think that it would get the seal of approval from the ultimate decision makers. If I was the one person that could make the decision for all, I would pick Cavalry. Unfortunately, I am not "the one".

Kind of, but different. Edit: According to this website, there are 28 schools using Pioneers, but only LaSalle uses Explorers, making it somewhat unique.

We just got done watching a National Geographic show about Lewis and Clark on Netflix. I couldn't help seeing the connection of North Dakota in that trek west, kind of like UND's westward movement with the Big Sky. I think that it ties the past (Sioux) with the future and connects western ND to the name. Choosing a name that does not identify with UND's and North Dakota's past would be a mistake IMO.

That's right, we used to get a lot of burgers from Henry's, which was torn down to become Sambo's, which is not Gramma Butterwicks. Couple of places I liked downtown... Golden Hour and Pancake House.

I loved the River Bend. I remember the Auto Dine, but didn't frequent the place. How about Phils and Lils across from Mexican Village? I didn't eat there, but it was near our house.

I really don't get it when NDSU folks bash GF. Are GF and Fargo really that different? Get out of ND for a bit and take a world view of it. They are virtually part of the same city separated by about 75 miles. If you want to compare/contrast things shouldn't they be a little different, like Minneapolis and New Orleans or Phoenix and St. Louis. There you have apples and oranges. With the GF and Fargo comparison you have gala apples versus fuji apples.

We are staying at Canad, so will definitely be there for the tailgating. I remember Happy Joes. I had a girl friend in HS who worked there. Good idea.
