How about this noise from Dave Hakstol via UNDSID Swallow your pride and admit that voting YES is the only real answer for the future of UND.

Are you so in favor of the name that you'd watch the hockey programs strangled??.....

UND coaches: Concerns about Sioux nickname's effects are serious, real I still say these guys are bluffing.

I also had in the back of my mind the sentence in the Summer UND Alumni Magazine from Tim O'Keefe.... The number is actually at $268M, but there hasn't been big announcments. Hmmm.

I knew the site from the pictures on the www.spirit.und.edu website, but the first time watching the video, I thought there was going to be some big announcement. Maybe you are right and it is just that simple. I was trying transfer his garb and the fact that the video is called UND Sports Returns into a sports related announcement......... IPF.

Not that it would be horrible, but I can imagine reporters/broadcasters using the name Nodaks when calling a game. It would be better than some that I care not to imagine. Own the name you want, not the one someone who doesn't have UND's best interest at heart hanging their name for you around your neck.

It actually occurred to me yesterday after reading the piece, but didn't get around to posting it until today. Funny you should mention Owls. I was at the in-laws in Louisiana over the weekend and every night I would hear the owls "talking" in the neighboorhood. Very cool.

I like the fact that her background contains business as well as academia. Welcome to North Dakota, Susan. -

Nah, I saw it. The other 3D visualisation of the IPF from the UND Athletics plan just said donor. When I watched the main montage, I had to play it back and pause to make sure of what I was seeing.

Icon Architects definitely gets an "A" for their 3D visualations. The one on the Innovation Park is interesting. The park would be located between Hilton Garden Inn and the Canad. I think I read that the new computer center is going to be built in that area. Will that be the cornerstone in the move toward the Canad? I'm sure that most of the proposed construction is distant future. Still.... loook pretty cool. http://iconarchitects.com/gallery/index.html

I don't view this as being political, in the sense of political parties. I see it more as the destruction of a country. My Speech Delivered at the New York Federal Reserve Bank

Come on... I saw the movie 1941.... Belushi pushed back the Japanese single handed. I do remember in Tora Tora Tora, Yamamoto making a comment about the US industrial complex being awesome.

I have a daughter who a couple of times a month will tell me that she want to quit piano. We have a number of friends who have told us that they regret quitting as a child. I relay this to her and work with her on her lesson. I have never played piano, but know enough about music from playing the trombone when I was a kid to be able to help. She gets past her quitting feeling, eventually, and when she reaches the end of the semester and has her recital, she is proud of her performance and that she persevered. Sometimes kids just need that push or need you to work with them to get through things. -
Nice. Thanks for the info.

Trouble maker being a relative term. Spit balls and carrying on when you are supposed to be listening likely wouldn't even be worth a word from a teacher in today's world.
