  1. Who sits in a bar for hours on end? Well.... I used to. I'm sure the folks at the Alumni Association could create a desirable, fun environment for watching games. Like I said, I see people at Saints games who sit in the Club rooms and watch the games.
  2. I tried making this case a while back. I occasionally go to the Superdome and watch the Saints. At the Club Level there are Club Rooms for people to get cocktails and eats. Some of these folks never make it back inside of the arena area, opting to watch the game on televisiion and relax in the Club Room. Yes, they paid for a ticket and have a seat inside, but if UND needed to do something to get to the 15,000 why wouldn't this work? Have a reduced ticket for the "UND Pavillion" They would be in the same building, watching the same game.

  4. WAC Media Days: Idaho ... http://bilofootball.blogspot.com/ Unwanted red-headed step child acording to Akey. Feels that this will be the last season that WAC football will be played. Playing with a chip in their shoulder due to being unwanted by other conferences.
  5. I can see adding NDSU into this mix. The South Dakota schools are going to be tied to the Summit, with the Summit BB in Sioux Falls every year.
  6. Bilo College Football Report From WAC Media Day...
  7. Brian Murhpy from the Idaho Statesman...
  8. Hammer to call UND games
  9. And people say UND is an outlier.... An Alabama school in the WAC?
  10. Audit: NDSU, UND inappropriately spent student fees Hopefully this is something that gets fixed....
  11. Yes. Women's.
  12. The ironic thing is that baseball (a sport that I have advocated dumping) may be the thing that puts UND ahead of some of the other schools for the WAC. The WAC needs baseball playing schools to survive.
  13. Add another $13M in lost revenues.... http://www.wibc.com/news/Story.aspx?ID=1743378 I wonder how much money they lose from the loss of advertising revenue??
  14. Next comes the Big Ten hammer.
  15. But the Montana schools have aspirations of FBS. They would want to be part of the vehicle (WAC) to get them there. I don't think UND would be very keen on the idea of going somewhere without UM/MSU.
  16. I am assuming, no news is good news, as far as UND is concerned.
  17. It has got to be him. I am not sure why he doesn't post here anymore, but I wish he would, as he does he does have great ideas/knowledge regarding conferences, presidents, athletics...
  18. Another discussion... Big Sky may save the WAC
  19. WAC board has a couple of threads on it... http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=451&f=2368&t=9158548 http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=451&f=2368&t=9149753&p=5
  20. I thought this deserved it's own thread. Hambone posted a link yesterday to a MWC message board. At first I thought this was pipe dream stuff. I started poking around and found that this has some legs and keeps moving. From Las Cruces... Big Sky emerges as potential lifeline for WAC This could impact some UND sports that are homeless (baseball) and may bring others into a central home (Men's S/D). Interesting. Another piece of the puzzle... Faison used to be the AD at NMSU, so likely is quite involved in these discussions.
  21. http://www.ndus.edu/uploads/resources/3488/7-12-12-sbhe-materials.pdf I can't get the file to open from the website right now, but I downloaded it last week. The SoMHS Renovation/Addition is #4 on the Chancellor's Recommended Priority list at $38.5M and the UND Law School is #7 at $4,35M.
  22. Like I said, I like the beat and not the lyrics.
  23. Is the news positive or negative for UND??
  24. From UNDSID...
