  1. Sioux land junior college point guard Still looking for one more big guy.
  2. For some reason I'm thinking a lot of questions will be answered in the next week regarding football promotions for this year, as well as years to come. UND Football Executive Committee strategize future of football program
  3. Alerus Center to charge for parking For those of us who are used to parking to go see an event this is no big deal. I'm sure there will be some that won't like it.
  4. You just paid for your suite at the Canad or the Alerus? If it is the Alerus, can I be your new best friend?
  5. Bellmore prepares for Sioux football
  6. Our pictures of the Blue Angels didn't turn out nearly as well as PCM's, so I'm not going to embarrass myself. I did like the loop picture we got of one of the preliminary acts. Also a picture of the boats piled into the intercoastal to watch the show and one of the boat that we were on to watch. Great time!!
  7. Community connections A lot of great ideas came out of this tour.
  8. Hey, you can see planes flying by the camera really quick like.
  9. Pensacola is the home of the Blue Angels and they do two shows here annually, one during the summer at the beach and the other during the fall at NAS Pensacola. This weekend is the beach air show. Today they will be practicing and tomorrow is the actual show. With both days expected to be cloudy, I'm assuming that they will be doing the "low show", which means that you may be able to watch parts of it on Pier Cam. It isn't always reliable and sometimes you have to close it and re-open it for it work. I don't know exactly what time practice is, but I'm assuming it will start around noon. Here is link to some pictures from yesterday's practice. My boss has a 38' catamaran, which will be our vantage point tomorrow.
  10. I had more accurate writing skills when I was in 4th grade. Arkansas State Mascot 'Indians' Must Go, Committee Says
  11. You have a "portable" typewriter. Wow, you are way ahead of me.
  12. Chicago Blackhawks - Pensacola Ice Pilots - UND Connection Ice Pilots Team Up With Chicago, Rockford Ice Pilots coach is John Marks, former Sioux and former Blackhawk.
  13. Another development coming to the south side...Homestead Grove. If you ever want to know what is going on in GF, hit this guys website.
  14. After spending a week in GF, I can see that it is not the "shithole" that the guy on Skyscraper makes it out to be. Not that I thought that anyway, but the growth GF has shown in the last 5-10 years has been amazing. I saw a number of new retail shops in the south end, the new hospital in the south end, the Canad and the additions to the campus over the past few years keeps the future at UND looking brighter. What really caught my eye was the downtown area. The Elite Brownstone project is just being completed, adding 27 condos downtown, Opera House Lofts and under construction The Current. I was also impressed with The Greenway. Quite an impressive and huge park. Keep it going GF.
  15. Unfortunate that the HQ will be placed in Little Rock, but somewhat understandable with air travel. Getting into GF just isn't that easy. Perhaps GF could get a research center. It is the perfect place to do research for wind.
  16. LM Glasfiber to open plant in Little Rock
  17. Maybe the rivalry between NDSU and SDSU is getting more heated.
  18. It is sounding more and more as though softball and baseball are not a priority at UND. I know that I read recently that Buning intends to keep these two sports when the transition is made to Division I, but one has to wonder.
  19. After spending the past week in GF, most of which was spent at the Canad, I can't help but think that game day for football is going to be huge. How many other schools can claim to have a destination hotel attached to their football stadium. I can see the three restaurants and Playmakers bar being packed. I would also think that Tavern United would be wise to set up a tent outside in the tailgating area. What really got me thinking about the potential was that there were evidently some wedding dances going on in some of the Alerus ballroom's on Saturday night and there was a steady stream in the hallway between the Alerus and the Canad. Game day at the Alerus/Canad complex is loaded with potential.
  20. Public sessions scheduled for head softball coach candidates
