If things are as bad and as wide spread as you are saying, I would think that action is happening within the university, as someone else put it "behind closed doors". There are some pretty strong ties between the alumni association and the coaches and some pretty influential people. If the situation does not improve, I'm sure that the conflicts of which you speak will eventually be somewhat public and we will all have a great deal more information. Until that time, let's all support UND athletics.

I agree. Being the AD is not a popularity contest. I'm sure it is quite the juggling act with the scheduling, budget and all the personalities that go along with it. Think about your own workplace. Do you get along with everyone? Do you think that your boss is always right? Until I hear that Buning is blatantly doing something to drive people away, I'm in the Buning camp.

I agree with both statements with the exception that the deal may not be with Lennon. I know, wishful thinking.

Judge delays ruling on NCAA request I see this as both good and bad news for Sioux fans. Bad news in that the costs for lawsuit will increase more, but I also believe that this puts more pressure on the NCAA to perhaps settle out of court. Even if the NCAA believes they are right on the issue of antitrust, the judge may not see it their way. I'm not sure how much precedence they have on this issue. Any legal minds have any insight on that??

What question did you want answered that didn't get answered? Did you want Lennon to air any concerns or problems with his current position? I can't see Lennon doing that even if he does leave. Too classy for that.

Yes, I agree that the article was complimentary to Lennon and I, as most UND fans, hold Coach Lennon in high regard, but I stand by my statement that it should be taken with a grain of salt considering the person who wrote the article is from NDSU. Most of the articles that I have read regarding this coaching position have been very neutral toward all of the candidates, so of course this would raise an eyebrow. Perhaps I'm too cynical, it wouldn't be the first time.

Interesting read indeed, but to be taken with a grain of salt. Kent is an NDSU alum and would like nothing better than for UND to lose Lennon. What is bad for Sioux, is somehow good for the Bison.

From what I have heard/read Van Diest will likely be the next coach at either MSU or Montana, with the other one wishing they had him. Sounds likely, then, that MSU would be crazy not to take him now.
