T.J. Oshie: 'Pact' mentality keeps Blues prospect in college

A great story regarding Sitting Bull... Sitting Bull Stood Bravely While The West Was Won I had two Indian Studies classes in the early '80's and thoroughly enjoyed them.

Are you saying that if this goes to the voters they will approve it if the costs are less thatn $35M?

I wasn't referring to any of your posts in particular. I was merely apologizing for including you, as a journalist, with all of the other journalists of the world, because I think far too often they editorialize events to fit their preconceived ideas.

I was apologizing for lumping all journalists together.

Wanless was the AD from 1990 to 1999, so the 1994 article would have been mid-way through his tenure. Wanless named new CSUS athletics director This is what I'm remembering. Sometimes a one year snapshot doesn't give the full truth. One of my biggest problems with journalists. No offense PCM.

I knew of a couple of people who had nicknamed him "Worthless". I don't recall why. If I remember right, though, wasn't the Athletic Department always in the black with Wanless? Sometimes leaders have to make unpopular decisions that others don't understand, because they are not privy to all of the information. Additionally, it is much easier to poke holes in someone else's policies than to have to produce, enact and manage your own policies.

Doing a quick Google of Cynthia Lindquist Mala. I don't find her name prominent in the "Fighting Sioux" name debate, pro or con. Hopefully that will not be on the agenda for selection of the next president.

There has been a curious lull in any kind of information regarding the Master Plan issue. I thought it would come out prior to the end of June. By the way Star, saying that a 6,000 seat arena would look nice on the Bronson property is practically begging aff to come back and quash such talk.

I posted the same story and link that The Sicatoka did about 1 minute sooner. I had used an existing thread that I thought appropriate. He had started a new thread and had a catchy comparison regarding the 1", so I deleted my post, as I didn't think we needed two threads about the same news article. BTW, where I posted was in a thread that you had started Judy's Incident Resolved When I deleted my post the thread went back in the queue where it was before I posted. Edited for further clarity.

If it's going to have ice year-round, why would they list that it can seat 6,000 for basketball/volleyball? Urban Plains Center & Tournament Facility I would think either of these sports gets a little dangerous being played on ice.

President of United Tribes Upbeat About Prospect of American Indian Committee Member for UND So only a unanimous vote by the board will restore your faith? It's hard enough just to get people to agree on what time to have lunch. Be satisfied if you get an American Indian on the search committee.

The 2007 Volleyball schedule is out... UND volleyball to take on three 2006 NCAA national semifinalists this season

We've had this discussion once before as to why Fargo has grown so much more than GF, aside from the 1997 flood. There was a time in the 1960's and 1970's when GF's growth rate was higher than Fargo's, mostly due to the AFB. When the interstate system was built, Fargo was put in a prime location at the confluence of two interstate highways. Fargo started to become a distribution center and evolved from that. If I-94 (or an I-98) had gone through GF you would have seen a different scenario. Grand Forks cannot try and be like Fargo. Grand Forks needs to find its own niches and part of that is attracting high paying jobs. This is why I was kind of surprised when the GF City Council turned down Aurora Medical. I hope Aurora Medical still decides to build in GF. Someone in GF needs to think about ways to recruit high wage jobs, maybe from Winnipeg. Sorry to cut his off, in somewhat mid-thought, but I have to run.

I'm sure that Cirrus and LM Glasfiber have something do with the population increase. They have both added a lot of jobs in the past couple of years. I agree, also, that the "U" has been involved in the growth, as well.

Not really about UND playing DI lacrosse, but as The Sicatoka pointed out, it is Canada's "national summer sport". Most Canadians not tough enough to play lacrosse Keep coming to Grand Forks
