I love politics and political discussions, but I don't want them here. There are plenty of places to engage in such conversations. I agree that some will be viewed in a different light when their political views are laid out on a message board. I have already witnessed some of that on the bridge collapse thread and the "what annoys you" thread. Let's keep this a forum for the discussion of UND and Grand Forks.

Actually reading this thread, there were a few fans who bashed it, some congratulated NDSU for setting up so quickly and others wondered what happed with the other sports. It wasn't the bashfest you're making it out to be.

What are Central and Western Washington going to do? I've heard what all of the other NCC teams are doing except those two. Are they possibly looking at moving up?

Are there any other prospective members on the horizon?

If the Alerus is trying to increase revenue, not allowing tailgating before a football game is the wrong tack to take. I'm hoping that this is just a bad rumor, not based in fact.

I've only been tailgating once and had a great time. I'm heading back up for a game in November this year. There is a thread regarding game day atmosphere at the Alerus/Canad complex, as the Canad just opened.

I don't know if these rank as unusual, but I ran into one at NAS Pensacola last fall and one at the New Orleans airport last month. UND shirts/jerseys are everywhere!!

UND looks west Part of Kupchella's Strat Plan II is for the targeting of students from certain locations out west. I also think they need to look North and get more Canadians at UND.

Packaging! There was a time when you bought something, you brought it home and easily opened the package. Now they use those "welded" plastic containers that you need the "jaws of life" to open. Getting toys separated from the cardboard packaging is no treat either, with a thousand of those little twisty tie-downs.

In answer to my own question, the outing mentioned in the article says July 29th while here it says the 30th. I thought it was odd that they would have an event like this on a Sunday. Hopefully there will be some news of the event tomorrow.
