The thing about baseball (or any minor sport for that matter) is that no major decision such as dropping it would ever happen before UND knows their conference situation. It would be disappointing to upset alumni, donors, etc and go through the trouble of dropping the program just to have a conference tell us that we will gain membership but only after we add a baseball program. Only after we have gained membership in a conference, know which sports will be mandatory and received a guarantee from that conference that dropping a sport wouldn't be a deal breaker would the school even begin to consider it. However, I don't see UND going that route for a long, long time. The athletic department will give all of the programs a chance to grow in DI before dropping a sport even crosses their minds. That is not what the move to DI is about.

[repeat] I don't want to give up games against Minnesota, Wisconsin, Denver and CC for games against Bemigji and UA-Huntsville. Start talking about the University of Colorado, Colorado State, Etc. and I will be interested in expanding the WCHA.

I've mentioned that before. No one seemed to agree.

Out of all of the progress that the ladies have had and the close games with good teams, this is one game that they should not have lost 4-1. I will take a 4-1 loss to Ohio State, instead we had a tie lost with 32 seconds left on friday night. Bemidji is not a team we shoud lose to 4-1.

I have to say that Heath is one of the better sports writters for the Forum. I know he mostly covers smaller regional sports but at least he is rather unbiased in his articles. The rest of them are too big of homers for me.

I bet they are wetting their pants over at bisonville because of this.

UND 51 ISU 77 Final. Every player that dressed for either team was on the floor tonight. Definately not the big upset that I was hoping would happen but definately a fun game to see what we will have to do in the future to be successful in D1. Hopefully we get a rematch against the Cyclones when we play in their tournament next year.

UND 32 ISU 66 End of 3rd Quarter.

UND 22 ISU 57 5 minutes into the second half and we still haven't scored.

UND 22 ISU 48 Halftime. ISU had a 14-0 point run towards the end of the half before the Sioux finally got a freethrow. The Sioux have had some open shots and nice drives into the lane but have had absolutely no luck with the shots falling. ISU hasn't turned the ball over ONCE!

Ouch! We just gave them an 11 point run. UND 18 ISU 40 4:00 to go in 1st.

UND 18 ISU 29 7:30 left in 1st.

The ladies have had a ton of improvement this year. That is why it is so hard to see them losing these close games. Hopefully the ladies can turn that corner and begin to be the team that is scoring with 32 seconds to win the game.
