One thing we can do to help the team grow is to show up to games and support the team. Such as this weekend's games against St. Cloud. The men's team is playing in Alaska and the basketball teams are at USD. Perfect weekend to take in a women's hockey game! What I don't get is why the games are still on Saturday and Sunday. All of the other teams are out of town so why don't they have the games on Fri. and Sat.?

The guys are now tied with UN-O for 1st in the NCC. It would be great if we can go down to South Dakota and pull out another quality win this next weekend.

The guys picked up some nice wins this weekend. Saturday night's game was especially fun to watch with the overtime win. I was a little disappointed to see so many people get up and leave when the game went into overtime though. I mean come on, that is the most exciting part of a game.

I completely agree with that statement.

I definately wouldn't mind seeing these 2 schools added as affiliate members for football. But over on d2foootball.com people were also throwing around the idea of possibly wooing Michigan Tech and/or Northern Michigan away from the GLIAC. What do people think about this idea? It would help out the rest of the other teams to get a school that would be playing in all of the sports.

I would be lost if this site ever went down. I wouldn't know what to do with myself!!!!

Is there any way we can consider our aviation program as a sport program? They have won us many titles at various competitions. Maybe we can just give all females in the program a scholarship and count it towards Title IX!

I would assume that most people have the same feelings about this but with UND you never know what strange ideas they have in their heads. I second the on campus bar!!!!!!!

I don't think he was stating his oppinion on the issue. I think he was just pointing out the fact that if Mr. Engelstad's stance on the name issue had been reversed, UND would most likely have a new name and logo right now. He simply was stating that $$$$ is what makes the world go around.

I know that this isn't about UND basketball but I thought it was kind of a neat article that some of you might want to read. It is about a college teacher teaching a course on ACC basketball. ACC Basketball

You can see it in the pic above on the white right sleeve barely. It say "See you at the Ralph" with the outline logo of REA. Even though the attendance wasn't the greatest you have to love anything that draws attention to GF nationally, the slightest!!!

I was there and it was impossible to tell which team was scoring. their uniforms were basically identical. One thing that was pretty cool was that all of their jersies said "see you at the Ralph" on the shoulder. But ther Uni's did look Identical!!!!

Quite frankly I believe that once the program is up and completely running it could break EVEN. With as few women's hockey programs as there are, I can see our program being competative nationally and soon being in the race for a national championship. Say in five years our team is right up there with the UofM and UMD for the NC, who says it could not have enough support to NOT be the big money drain that everyone says it will be. If UND does decide to go DI, this is a progam that completely goes with Title 9 and could win us a N.C. in the not so distant future

I have to agree with #4!!!!!!! We have some good offensive stances where we can pass the puck around awesome but everytime that it seems to make its way infront of the net there never seems to be anyone there to play it or look for the rebounds. Actually, it almost seems that sometimes we take TOOOOO long to get it in front of the net. These guys should be looking for GOALS, NOT ASSISTS!!

I love Hakstol, but having Gino on the bench could definately not hurt us!

I have wondered that too (title 9 and NDSU). So many people have joked about UND adding women's hockey and what a money drain it is. I think that UND saw this as a positive if UND ever did decide to go DI in all sports. .

I already made this point but I figured I would post it again. If you look at these 2 cities compared to the grand scheme of the country, Fargo and GF are identical twins who do nothing but fight.
