I didn’t get to watch the game so I’d like some objective rundown from anyone willing to provide. Did we deserve to win this game? Were we good at limiting second opportunities and allowing TJ to see pucks? Did we generate enough scoring chances that just didn’t land? Did we go long stretches without a decent SOG?

That’s a small sample size for a guy who can go weeks without a point

Good call on Mac and that combo. I’m more worried about Schmaltz bringing his offensive impotence to a line with a guy who is on fire as of late

Perhaps. Or maybe he’s a senior who is graduating with a degree and wants to start his professional life.

Strinden has been one of our best forwards lately, 8 points in the last 10 games. He’s been great at even strength. Hopefully schmaltz and Swanson don’t slow him down. There’s a remarkable difference in foot speed between him and the other too. I really hope Littler is a little dinged up because him being a healthy scratch would be insane

I hope your prediction is right but this series seems like a split. I know that Israels and Tanner Ludtke are reported as a “maybe” for the series. But I’m guessing that they will almost certainly be in because Gabinet is the kind of coach who would pretend the player is a maybe when they’ve been a full go in practice most of the week. I’ll give it to Berry that he’s honest and doesn’t play around with gamesmanship where we all know coach Stu is happy to do it. I’m going Split with us winning one in regulation and losing one in OT after getting goalie’d

They only interviewed seniors at yesterday’s weekly press conference and Monty was one of them. He spoke as if he’s a senior soon to be done…

With EJ out, I’d rather see Komzak as the 6th defenseman over Monty. Komzak isn’t the fastest skater in the world but he can defend better than Monty, especially with his long reach. Guessing that’s unlikely since it’s senior weekend and we’d rather have warm fuzzies than play guys in their natural positions. The team has been doing fairly well with the lineup we’ve had and getting Perron back obviously is a boost. Guessing Croal is extra skater, Monty is on defense, and Komzak rides the pine. What are everyone’s thoughts or preferences with the weekend lineups?

I still don’t think that guys like Raboin or Mayotte would just up and leave their programs for UND right now. They have good things going and money to work with (no it’s not as much money as UND, I got it). They are building well with the resources they have, building relationships, creating culture (yeah, I said it ) and planting roots. Just because UND has more money, exposure, and history doesn’t mean we are an automatic drop-everything-and-leave destination. Don’t get me wrong, it would be great if we snag a solid coach that already has D1 head coaching experience and I will happily eat a ton of crow if they come here. But I just don’t see it happening. That being said, I don’t know who the outside the family hire would be but inside the family I like Nick Fohr or Smaby.

We had a lineup for 4 games that actually scored goals and now we are going back to some of what wasn’t working in the first place. Guessing we score 2 goals at most. Strinden has been on a role lately and just got demoted to a line with the zzzz’s

Please no Let my wishful thinking come to fruition. I’d rather not play a playoff juggernaut on the road in the first round. I’d rather get my hopes crushed one weekend later to prolong the misery.

Seems like the consensus that all of us think is that we will be playing UNO in the first round. Hopefully in GF and not Omaha. Either way I’m hoping Latkockzy doesn’t stonewall us too bad but whatever will be will be

DU also didn’t have Matt Davis that night.

Honestly with the experience of Berg and him being our only point per game player, his presence would have made enough of a difference against Cornell and Bemidji to have flipped results of at least one of those games. I’m not making an excuse, but to say Beth’s absence didn’t matter is probably inaccurate to some extent. We’ll never know since we didn’t get the job done, but you get what I’m saying.

With how well they’ve played the last few games, a guy’s gotta wonder how they shuffle things when Perron comes back in. My guess is Berry would put Croal as extra skater and throw Perron on the Boisvert line with Littler to only change one line from what has given you recent success. Croal has been so good at his role that at the very minimum he should be extra skater. No way he should be taken out of the lineup. But I guess that also hinges on how healthy Emery is and whether or not we need Komzak just in case. For the sake of team speed and overall value, I’d rather see Kunz as the extra skater or just riding the pine altogether but we already know that won’t happen.

Duluth’s forecheck is killing us and forcing a lot of turnovers. It’s going to wear us down and catch up to us quickly. It’s going to be an ugly one. TJ needs to be a champ (and also stop flopping because he’s embarrassing our whole team)

TJ flopped and I wish these guys should call it out.

This is a very interesting stat. I’ll give Jammer a little more leeway since he got injured 2 weeks after the Duluth series. He hasn’t had the punch he had prior to his injury but he still seems to play with a pace and edge that Kunz lacks. I’d take him or strinden on the power play as the net front guy any day of the week over Kunz because they have the quickness the get a greasy one down low.

Is it bad to say that I’d rather see Andrew in the lineup than Kunz? I’d feel differently if Kunz were put on the 4th line where he belongs but we know Berry can’t help but out an offensively challenged senior in a scoring role.
