He’s the one who wrote that he’d been told by sources that UND’s scouting presence had diminished recently. For those of us that weren’t in the know regarding that, it was a massive piece of information that painted us in a negative light. It may seem innocent, but it’s one of the more damning things he’s said when you really pick it apart.

Heck I’d take a guy that’s at least a go-to faceoff guy for key draws and I’m not sure Perdion would be the one but who knows.

I like that optimism with us being the likely destination for McKenna. Based on stats it seems like both Perdion and Gault were some of the better +\- players for both of their teams. Obviously that stat doesn’t always tell a great story. Also looking at the player stats for Ferris. Wowzer they were bad haha.

Hoping for? Or likely getting? Menghini and Fault would be good but both are wings. Looks like Perdion was the 4th line center for Long Island and we seem good to go on depth guys. Need a first line center.

Omac goes north really well when he gets to play as a center. He's never going to outmuscle someone and will likely turn over the puck in a corner, but he can float really well through the neutral zone with the puck on his stick.

This one pisses me off. I mean Boisvert hurts more and was infuriating. But with Jax taking over and likely making big changes to our systems, Omac could have thrived next year. It's more the principle of the matter haha

I don't think he's referring to his effort or toughness. He's referring to his style of play and the type of system that fits his skill set.

He's a better goalie than his save percentage. He had a wretched team around him defensively the stretches of time he was in the net. Even TJ's % was poor the first half of the year, especially when surrounded by our abysmal PK the first 3 months. He's good enough to be a starter somewhere in D1. Unfortunately, I'm just not sure that it's the NCHC.

Regarding the PK. Please compare the 1st 2 months of the season compared to the last 2 months of the season. I’ll hang up and listen to see if you think changes were made.

Dane, in your experience, does the most reliable information come out of Joe Black’s or Judy’s?

Sorry if this was said, but UND’s #1 priority is finding centers and it’s not even close. We are sitting decent on the back end but we badly need forwards, especially up the middle

I believe the tension was released a few pages back during the male enhancement discussions.

Not sure why I get a hit of dopamine when gf makes a brilliant and coherent comment without spelling or grammatical errors. Gives me hope and light during these dark times.

I’d rather lose my best guys to the NHL than have my best guys portal out. Guessing Bob already has guys locked and loaded from the portal since he knew most of those guys were going pro.

It seems like the reputation has been getting slaughtered the last few years and now we are seeing it's scary results. I don't care what a lot of people say about Omac. He was still our assists leader while playing in the wrong position; he could have had a great senior season if playing as a center.

I kind of want at least one from the portal and not just the CHL. Because from the portal they've at least had a year of NCAA under their belts; unless we are talking a really good CHL player and not someone that's adequate. I know the CHL is good but NCAA has more men in it. But couch coaching hasn't made me anything yet so I might be completely off-base haha.

I hate to say it but I have this eerie feeling that Zmolek will get injured in the first half next year. Not sure all of his surgical parts can withstand the game.

So many people here assumed that he would totally take the job if offered just because we are UND (and it was a bonus his wife was a UND grad) which is ridiculous. He’s been at auggie for 2 years, has a brand new rink, has money backing the program (obviously not as much as UND) has already had success building a team from the ground up and is likely to see that through further. Then there are non-coaching aspects like laying roots down and just getting plugged into life there as a family. We needed to get a grip and read the room that the likelihood of him coming was and is minimal. But our desire for him spiraled into assumption undeservedly. In conclusion, It should never have been a surprise that he isn’t interested.

Still surprises me so many people thought we could just magically drag him away from what he’s building in a great situation. But that was like 3 days and 500 posts ago when I gave my feelings on that matter lol
