Ok this tidbit has completely changed my mindset on this fella. I had noticed the decent +/- and TOI for a bad team which was a good sign. But having a guy that is willing to sell out to shut things down gets me pumped up.

Feels a heck of a lot less stressful this off-season (this is Captain Obvious speaking). It’ll be nice having a roster that is probably nearly complete by the end of spring, give or take a few pieces. Slightly different than a roster rounded out in August by Ollie last year

If he doesn’t graduate and move on with life, He won’t transfer to go looking for playing time elsewhere. He knew what his role would be when he came in so if he’s going to be on a roster it’ll be at UND

I can’t watch Denver win another championship. My plans to be at home tomorrow watching ESPN2 have suddenly vanished

If UND is hosting this event, seems like @Dave Berger should be doing the national anthem. I don’t care if they have Taylor swift or the Eagles lined up already just because they are in Vegas; give the people Dave Berger.

I honestly think he's more than happy to have had the season he's had. Even if he doesn't win a natty, I don't think he regrets his decision one bit as he's flourished over there. I still don't like the fact that he completely checked out in the 2nd half of the season last year, but I honestly forget about him at times

I'm a dummy. Carry on haha Although I still am bummed about Jubenvil. I'm a fan of his simple defensive style. Boring but very solid.

I figured Jubenvil would portal out but I didn't think Strathmann would but now you have me worried about that haha. We need some of these guys to age up and stay in the lineup but both of them would be Top-4 guys at other places so I get it. Love getting the opportunity to have skilled younger guys but we all know how it goes with too young of a D corp.

My level of optimism for us has not been this high since 2021. Even when we lose we lose with a fight and this team has an X factor that I can’t even explain. Everyone is 100% all in even if they aren’t in the lineup; it’s crazy. I just always get scared since hockey can be a cruel mistress in these one-and-done scenarios (as we’ve all learned painfully before). PS I don’t go anywhere beat the Fighting Sioux Facebook haha that whole thing is a joke.

Oh FFS I said I still think we win and I still do (3-1 with the 3rd goal being an EN) But so many fans think this game and regional are a slam dunk and discounting a hot team team with a killer goalie. My point was not that we’ll lose, but that I was surprised more of their writers didn’t choose Merrimack (since at least 6 of those writers are east-based). simma Donna, we are all on the same team here

With how hot Merrimack is right now (and for the last 3 months), combined with having 5 players with 13+ goals, having a higher SOS than us, and good special teams, I'm surprised more of them didn't take Merrimack in the 1st round. I still think that if we play smart and structured hockey we will win a tight one. If it's loosey goosey then we are cooked.

Guessing Berry is watching his son play every weekend and enjoying getting paid for the last year of his contract. Living his best life. I have zero insight on this but I wonder if he ended up doing some sort of scouting or front-office work.

Jax said that another school offered Verhoeff about 3x what we offered for NIL. But KV still wanted to come to UND which says a lot about the program and maybe even more about the character of KV. Loved the whole interview with Jax but that was a beauty of a nugget.
