I repeat what I said a few pages ago...I was on the FIRE HAK thread for a couple of years on the hockey side so I get how the Fire Bubba guys feel. That said, I think there are only 2 camps here-Fire Bubba vs He deserves one more year. If there is no playoff game next year, I'm with you and many others will be too. One last thing for me-if Bubba is ND nice and has a way with ND players he MUST start recruiting ND beef for the OLine. This has been a staple at SU and Bubba has to tap into that somehow. His job depends on it. The end for me on this thread.

Well...that's a bit of a stretch. If it was a bunch of 40-somethings, would anyone be drawing any comparisons or suspicions to members of the coaching staff?

You may be right about it coming from within the team which in my view is horrible that some guys are talking about this. But I will look to see if there are any charges (and we would hear about them from actual media sources not hearsay) then this is a lot of allegation without proof.

I don't know where that information came from so I'm not inclined to believe it till I see it. Search warrant and GUILT are a LONG ways away. But is they had ANYTHING on them after the search warrant they certainly would have arrested them.

If they are suspending players based on mere suspicion or innuendo they will lose trust. I believe that's his point and I agree.

An we MUST assume the problem, whatever it is, goes deeper than these three. If they lose, it's the culture and the coach's failure to clean it up.

No not at all, USC fan. I was just trying to point out that injuries affected even the top team in the country that's all. I give up on the topic. Those who have decided Bubba should be gone will never look at the injuries. I get it.

My point is that we expected this team to make a run in the playoffs. Bama's expectation is to win the FBS. Injuries had an impact in their possible failure to make it. That's the only comparison I can make with these teams.

My understanding is that most schools will hope to have more in December than Feb.

I bet you don't. The expectation in Bama is winning a National Title every year. They may not make the playoffs because of this loss which I believe is attributed to the fact the D was without key players. Of course, Bama's injuries do not justify UND's implosion, but UND not reaching it's expectations is a bit easier to comprehend. For some.

Bama lost yesterday and may be out of the football playoff (though it should be 8 not 4 teams) and part of their lack of dominance on D this year is that 4 of their top LB's have been injured. Just saying....injuries suck

But when your entire narrative is that we ONLY consider the score and never consider injuries or anything else, then we have proper grounds to argue that a. most of us fans have low expectations if b. we don't seek a new HC after the season. Get it?

So the team averaged almost 6 yards/running play?? Wow. I would never have guessed it was that good and I understand that a couple of long runs boosts the average, and some of it was Studs running for his life, but ... Is it possible, Bubba (and Rudy) saw the average and decided they could just keep running? I get it, it didn't work a lot of the time, but the numbers are better than I thought.

I'm hopeful that Larson, Morrison and Honerlaw also bring it to the D next year. A different QB will make a big difference too.
