Stat of the game....gophers with 8 shots total after the first period. I'd be willing to bet they blocked more shots during that time.

Thought the gophers were fine, but I don't know if they expected Q to quit, but they just got manhandled after their second goal. Had one chance to score in the third and spent the rest of the period relying on great sticks defensively or they lose 5-2....

Minnesota kind of in hold on mode. Not really their game. Their defending below the dots though has gotten extremely better under Motzko. They are doing a great job in lanes and blocking shots.

The last time in Tampa in this same spot the Q had a massive turnover to start the 3rd and UND rolled from there. If the Gophs get the next one I think it's ball game much like 2016.

If the Q can match Cooley, Knies, and Snuggy and get them in their own end against some big bodies they can have success. But then Minnesota has 5 NHL d men IMHO.

The Gophers don't play a lot of teams like the Q. They played Mankato earlier this year and on the NHL sheet they struggled a bit. The Gophs more talented, but if the Bobcats put together another performance like tonight and they've got a chance.
