  1. Putting the ball in play. Give yourself a chance at least.
  2. Hawks helmet at college football hall of fame in Atlanta.
  3. In Atlanta for a few days and going to catch the Twins and Braves with my brother-in-law on Monday and Tuesday (He's a huge Braves fan). Spent the evening in the Truist Park "The Battery" neighborhood. What a tremendous job by the Braves creating a superb entertainment district for their fans. Fantastic, clean, well built area. The Braves were on the road today and they had the game on an outdoor big screen TV on a plaza with all the dining facilities with their patios open. I remember complaints from people about how far away from down town Atlanta they were building their new park, but hats off to them. Can't wait to see the place on game day. Hope the Twins can scratch one out.
  4. Look at that you got them a win! I didn't mean for you to get Rocco ejected on a pitch that was strike three to a guy that regularly strikes out.
  5. Never been a big time Kepler guy. I know all the statistics show he's an above average outfielder and he had that lightning in a bottle stretch, but it's time to move on. I could see it being his last year as he had talked about quitting altogether this off-season. Then again with what the Twins did with Pagan, Max could get a lucrative extension.
  6. On a positive note, Buxton/Kepler made solid contact on a baseball. On a negative note Twins Twitter is now responding to an angry fanbase. I think they need a road trip.
  7. He's got 100 hits....and the closest Twins player has 51.....
  8. I'm really over analytics in baseball. Thankfully MLB eliminated the over shifting and made pitchers and hitters pick up the pace to make the games not last four hours. I allow myself to get over excited by success, and ticked off when they lose three of four to the mighty Tigers, and then bombed by a team that played a double header the day before and got into Minnesota the wee hours of Monday morning. Can't convince myself they are a .500 team. Interesting to see if they are buyers or sellers at the deadline.
  9. Or extend Rocco even longer.
  10. Drop three of four to Detroit after sweeping the crew. Gallo and Kepler not able to hit water if they fell out of a boat at the moment. The AL Central has seen better days.
  11. I remember watching his son Marc play for Red River years back and just being amazed by his strength, only to be told a number of times "you should've seen his dad."
  12. RIP to former player Rob Mihulka who passed away four days ago after a battle with cancer.
  13. My favorite one. "Gopher hockey is tape to tape."
  14. Always gets me. The pure emotion when they hand out the cup. It's just a different ceremony than the rest. Will never forget Eddie B getting his skate with the cup. What a moment.
  15. Ya know, lot of big/great hockey players wearing #2 for UND, but I think my favorite #2 of all time was a 5'10, 180 pound Canadian kid who plays with a ton of piss and vinegar and came out of every battle with the puck.
  16. The three guys with slugging percentages below .400 and averages below .215 go deep. Funny game. I didn't watch the game but was told by my old man that there was like a three inning conversation on striking out too much vs. hitting the long ball by Bremer and company.
  17. I think Hastings had the model in place to be successful year after year.
  18. He pitched that entire game too? Maybe baseball isn't for you? Won the game by himself....lol.... I'll be done arguing though. Have a good evening.
  19. Ohhh....this is why....okay.
  20. Yup, you're right Correa is killing it.
  21. I think the Mets are in over reaction mode and would trade for Correa. That allows the Twins to have Farmer play short until Brooks is ready, and gets rid of a lot of money. Plus the Mets may throw Parada, Ramirez, or a Mauricio in the deal to sweeten it.
  22. Crazy stat. Would be in last place in the AL East. At some point heads need to start to roll. Falvey, Levine, Rocco, Kepler. If there is a team stupid enough to trade for Correa at the deadline you make the move.
  23. One hundred percent. It's unacceptable to strike out as much as the Twins have, but this regime is okay with it obviously. The bomba year set this franchise back years. We all enjoyed it but had no idea what we were getting ourselves into.
