  1. Gallo responds by going 4 for 4....of course.
  2. How bad is the AL Central....
  3. Eleven million dollar man. Now Sal Butera's kid holds no records.
  4. They can't continue to throw Dallas K out there. I mean he gave them a chance his previous outing, but I think we all saw him getting bombed today in Philly. You got Varland and Simeon down in AAA, give those guys the experience.
  5. Rudolph and Thvedt would both be WF High School.
  6. Off the top of my head of Nodak kids high school eligible playing out of state: -Routh, Bydal, Thvedt, Grande, Grubb, Vig, Martell, Erickson, Elser, McCann, Kuehne....list goes on...how old is Berry's kid?
  7. Read a story about the pitcher that struck out Joe, and Joe says to the guy "you aren't going to throw me that nasty curve again are you." 5 game winning streak. Ohh my.
  8. Wallner is the future in right. Hope he's up for good. Lot of upside there. Keuchel gave the team a chance. Wasn't pretty, but one run through 5 innings gives anyone a shot.
  9. Anyone know if Bydal is headed to Alaska or if he plans to play at RR this season?
  10. Duran struggling a bit as of late, but getting the job done. The former catcher in me thinks he is over throwing the splitter, but that's one guys opinion. Amazing these mlb guys have caught up to his 102 mph fastball as much as they have. Wonder if he's tipping. Kenta Maeda today.
  11. Read the Herald article and Tom mentioned that former player Greg Lotysz is having health issues. I guess I've been under a rock, because I noticed that Peyton was no longer on the team. Anybody know what happened there?
  12. They listened to you. Up comes Dallas, and we have a "groin injury" to Joe Ryan. Two/three starts for Dallas on the big club. Anxious to see if he's still got it.
  13. Like that's an actual position....
  14. So is Q still the short yardage/6 inches from the goal line situation QB?
  15. I was hoping it wasn't her. I know her dad from my youth days in Minot. Good family.
  16. Which goalie from Minot headed to Warroad?
  17. Guy hits a 102 mph fastball from Duran out of the park. Man, are these guys good. Twins win, Guardians get no hit. Two game lead in August, things could be worse. Brooks Lee is absolutely killing the ball in AA. Another left handed bat with some pop and promise.
  18. Central should be a contender with the kids they've got coming back. Wouldn't be surprised to see them win it.
  19. For the first time in a long time there may not be a clear favorite. North has some good kids, Central returns a few, RR had a great JV team. Sheyenne lost a few scorers, but returns a bunch of d men and has good goalies. Century or Legacy wins the west.
  20. After the 92 season things started to head south. They won 90 games that year, but pre wild card they didn't make the postseason. The 93 season their starting pitching took a bit of a dip. Then again, you had a young Eddie Guardado in the starting rotation. 1994 they were roughly .500 before the strike ended things, but that was it for Andy MacPhail (RIP Kirby Puckett's baseball career) and in comes Terry Ryan. Pitching wise other than Brad Radke, you just didn't have enough starting pitching the next few years. They even tried Rick Aguilera as a starter one of those years. After 92, it took until 2001 for TK to get the team above .500 with the likes of A.J., Hunter, Jacque Jones, Koskie, Mientkiewicz, Guzman, starting to figure out the major leagues a bit which many of them credited TK for their success. I'll say it again, the job that TK did getting that group to where they were before Gardy took over in 2002 was master class. Sweet Lou Piniella won the Manager of the year award in 2001, but the baseball writers got it wrong that year. The Rocco years are Karma for me not seeing what TK was doing with the hand he was dealt.
  21. The Legacy kid headed to Northstar is a great hockey player. Probably the best defenseman in the state had he stayed. He would have played a ton of minutes for Mario. Wondering if Marcus Butts is sticking around for another year?
  22. This is exactly what I thought. Minnesota makes the most sense with Cooley heading south.
  23. Take a look at the rosters some of those years, down right scary. It did help them to be able to draft some really good players that helped turn the franchise around. It 100% wasn't on TK, and I was a dumb kid for thinking he could do more with what he had those years. Players were held accountable then.
  24. Bump to Minnesota would make a lot of sense. Then a CHN story about tampering in the portal right?
