  1. I'm a super homer.....hard core in love with the UND men's hockey team. But I think most of us around here are good guys/gals/fans. The issue comes when someone gives an opinion (note...opinion) and they're jumped on. There are those that call a spade a spade and are jumped on for not being true UND fans, then there are those that won't say anything negative or put up with anything negative towards their favorite guys on ice and they're told to take off the green shades and wake up. No win situation. Lets just agree that we'll all have opinions, and others won't agree with them. Unless you're that skiumah guy that didn't see the BLATANT Rowney trip or Kristo get murdered from behind in OT by Bjugstad in front of the net.......
  2. Agreed. I suppose that the new trophy is owned by the WCHA, but the old trophy is CC's. I wonder if its a naming rights thing. CC owns the trophy, the WCHA owns the right to "Broadmoor trophy". I won't pretend to know any type of legality on an issue like this.
  3. Minnesota's defensemen are the difference in their team. Completely different.....completely. Brad brought up a good point in his postgame comments. They win more battles in corners, and are just so much more active with their sticks, with their gap control, physicality, etc. Either John Hill is a horrible coach or Mike Guentzel knows what he's doing. Probably both.
  4. I remember somebody having it in their tag line or whatever its called "Fighting Sioux too young to win anything this year".....
  5. I'm glad that the team played pretty well with still a lot of question marks. ~When is the D going to catch up? ~Who is our goalie now? ~What is our regular lineup? ~What are our regular line combos? They tied a pretty good hockey team that in my opinion doesn't have a lot of question marks at the moment.
  6. Fans always jump off the bridge. Only once in the last 8 years have we not had bridge jumping at some point in time. I think most of us knew that UND is fine in the pairwise right now, and even had they been swept they still would have been fine. Even Brian jumped off one year.....even Brian!!!! But that troll came back.
  7. Love the line game! Woo Hooo Kristo-Knight-Grimaldi Rowney-Parks-Mark M. St. Clair-Mitch M.-Caggiula Rodwell-Pattyn-Gaarder Mac-Mattson Forbort-Panzarella Gleason-Simpson Zane or Saunders.......After Zane's play last night I think they're even.
  8. Eight points out there over the course of the next two weekends. Both teams playing pretty good hockey. SCSU swept Denver, and Wisconsin has lost one game since November (last night 2-1 to Miami). Last night still feels like a loss (sorry Mafiaman), but if anything it should give this group confidence that they played toe to toe with what will still be the #1 team in the nation come Monday morning. PS: Right now something called Quinnipiac is #1 in the pairwise.....Why does the pairwise love the ECAC? Got to be something ACT related.....
  9. 1. Agreed 2. Agreed 3. Agreed.....Kristo was impressive too 4. St. Clair played with an edge. Agreed 5. Agreed. Jim doesn't do it for me either 6. Agreed. 7. Agreed. You can just post for me from now on.
  10. Ohhh one more thing. WCHA offensive player of the week....Nate Condon. Absolute beast mode this weekend.
  11. Kind of surprised that Schmaltz was in the lineup. We've seen high profile guys get the suit after a bad performance before (LaPoint, Mattson). I have a buddy that thinks Schmaltz will never be a healthy scratch because he's a flight risk that they want to keep happy. I don't think thats the case, but he's got to be better. Also, way too much talent to sit.
  12. Thoughts: ~The d core.....ufff......goals 2,3,4 were all goals that they lost battles on and it ends up in the net. ~I'll eat half a crow. Zane was good. Wish he had one more save in him. ~Kristo-Knight-Rocco were fun to watch together. Two posts in OT. Fun to watch. Feels like a loss. Didn't get swept like I was kind of expecting, but left a big point out there on the table. The way Minnesota has been playing its tough because they could have knocked off the best team in the country, the way North Dakota has been playing its nice because I had my questions after CC-and Holy Cross. PS: Dean Blais wouldn't blow a two goal lead in the third period...... Sorry, had to....
  13. I'm going to steal a line from my buddy oxbow....next team that scores wins.
  14. Third period underway. Playing not to lose shouldn't be in the cards hopefully.
  15. I don't mind other fans posting on the site, actually love it. Good to know about whats going on in their team's world. And good to get an opposite viewpoint. Just don't question god awful officiating when its right in front of you.
  16. You didn't see Rowney get tripped? Honestly? Honestly? Non-biased hockey fan....you didn't see Rowney get tripped?
  17. Hey, they're talking about head injuries on FSN. This isn't legal kids.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaIgM-Guz_8
  18. You're a gopher fan.....why would it be garbage....
  19. They've been okay through the weekend but what a GOD AWFUL sequence. Talk about crapping the bed.
  20. So how is that not a charge or a boarding call on Warning? Waiting? And now a penalty on UND. Yup.
  21. Need to get out of the period. Time to take a deep breath.
  22. You talk about the worst possible thing that could happen.....and it just happened.
