There we go. Cycle the puck, grind away. Good series of shifts continues.

Great series of shifts there started by the Kristo line. Almost got a third line out there against that tired husky line.

And guys are wide open in front of the net again.

And now we're back to sloppy play. Come on here fellas. Get it in gear. Pucks deep, cycle, puck to the net.

Kristo has to find a way to get that puck.....he completely stopped playing.....completely.

Completely different hockey team. At times tonight I'm thinking "Be careful, you may get a penalty for slashing that hard...." Or "ohh that hit may have been a bit high...." Glad to see the team that plays on the edge showed up Saturday. I'd like to see them bury SCSU this second period.

We have a guy in front but he has to take away the goaltenders vision. He is worthless in front if he's not doing something to make the defensemen or goaltender do something to move him......way to easy....

Watching Michigan State vs. Penn State on BTN......talk about taking a step back next season in their new league as far as level of competition goes. The gophers shouldn't lose a game on their big ten schedule. Well....maybe Wisconsin will get them once out of four games. You heard it here first, Minnesota wins the big ten hockey conference next season.

I'm not sure about the love affair with Senkbeil. I thought he'd see time sparingly this year, but I guess if the coaches believe he's earned his spot then so be it. I lost my Jim love when he took the major against Denver which almost ended up biting them in the rear.

Senkbeil must have naked pictures of Hakstol.....has to.... Mitch in a suit surprises me. How many times does a player go from the top unit to sitting in the press box?

Put me in the "Loves the success at the final five" category. Although when a team like Duluth a few years ago loses out right away, has a full week and a half layoff and comes back rested and wins the national championship you have to put chips into the argument for it not being the most important thing for UND. Would things have turned out differently for UND last year had they not came back to beat Minnesota at the Final Five? Did playing one more game cost them in the long run? They don't end up in a regional in St. Paul......likely they would have been out east in BC's bracket. And we know how that would have turned out the way that BC was playing.

I like some of the different combos thrown out there. One thing I noticed.....none of them included Senkbeil. Glad I'm not the only one.

So if you play Mark M. on the top line tonight do you put Rocco on the second line with Rowney and Parks? Then third line......Caggiula-Gaarder-Mitch? Fourth line: St. Clair-Pattyn-Rodwell

IMHO Gaarder should never be out of the lineup for Senkbeil. Heck, Mitch MacMillan hasn't done anything to be skating with the top unit. Starting to see why he didn't make it at SCSU. Oxbow said it best about Rowney. I thought he'd be an X factor Malone type player this year, and I haven't seen it. Carter is one of my favorite Sioux players. At the end of last year he was terrific, and was a big reason that team had the success they did. I was expecting a huge year out of him. You wonder if he's gripping his stick too tightly this year or over thinking, because he was a beast last year.

Here's what I'd do. ~Fire Hak ~Hire John Hill ~Watch the national championships roll in.....

Hak post game: ~No energy or intensity, lacked work ethic. ~Early goal hurt, not an excuse. ~No forecheck, or pace through the neutral zone. ~Needed to try and generate something with different line combos. ~Look in the mirror after this game. All these kids in the background.....not the best time to try and get coach Hak's attention....

Thoughts: ~Can't give up a crappy goal early.....too many times we've seen it the past few weeks. ~Still lapses with wide open guys in our own end...... ~Gothberg not bad.....but that first goal....killer..... ~We could learn something from SCSU about blocking shots.

I'd like the head coach not to get interviewed tonight.

UND may have just doubled their shots for the game.

Boy that weak goal early in the first period may hurt.
