One of my pet peeves with Jones is that he spends half the time out talking to his coaches before he even begins to address the players. Time for a bucket! EDIT: and that's they play they draw up during the timeout

Even though the Sioux are playing well, they sure have not developed much of an inside presence. Their offense tends to revolve around setting screens for the guards so they can attempt to take a couple of dribbles and settle for the jump shot. They don't really even attempt to get a down low game going. btw...what's up with Sweeny constanrly referring to the current temperature? I don't think he needs to emphasize how much colder it is in GF compared to the South Pole!

Agreed... I don't think this is quite right. I have never had an issue bringing beer into the stands to watch football. Perhaps he meant to say the student section doesn't allow beer.

Justin Anderson had two sisters, Kami and Jada, both of whom played DI ball. Kami at Stanford and Jada at Maryland. One of my classmates, Mike Fitzner, played at UND before transferring. More recently there was Jossy Bergen who played at UND. There was quite a bit of talent in that High School in the 80's and 90's. Not so much any more though.

I do remember David Robertson quite well. I was in High School in Valley City at that time. I did not play basketball, but went to all the games since VC was pretty much a basketball town. VC had some pretty good teams in the 90's...just never seemed to have a coach who could put it all together.

I would disagree with this statement as well. Outside of GF, hockey is definitely not the most followed sport. Attendance wise, I would say basketball (by a long shot...no pun intended ), followed by football, and then hockey.

No reason to begin attacking each other. I have been on this site for more than one month and agree with many of the posters who question the legislature getting involved at this point. The potential harm at this point outweighs the risk of what the legislature is proposing. IF the tribes, particularily Standing Rock, were to get involved and hold a vote, then perhaps this would get some legs. As it stands now, it appears to be nothing more than some grandstanding by some politicians in Bismarck.

If I understand it correctly, it would also apply to tailgating lots. I can't imagine the Alerus would be too excited about what this could do to the tailgating scene...

Representative Carlson was on the Dan Hammer show today. for those that are interested, here is the link: link I would agree with the sentiment of most posters on here that this is nothing more than grandstanding and if they were serious about it, action would have taken place at a prior legislative session.
