  1. Teams are announced on Monday evening.
  2. I believe there are four games in SLC, can't all be late...
  3. Time to take down another Wildcat team! Do we know what time?
  4. Unless we somehow get bumped up to a 14 seed, but doubtful.
  5. Nice job Colter, I really enjoy reading your coverage of Big Sky Bball.
  6. I've been as hard on Coach Jones as many have on here. Just read Colter's story from last nights game, which is a great read btw. I found this part to be interesting and maybe, just maybe Jones is figuring out what it takes for UND to be successful... “As a coach, this is why we do what we do,” Jones said. “A couple of years ago, I got away from what works for me and what works for North Dakota as far as player. I had to go through that valley as a coach, we had to go through that valley as a program to get to where we are today. I got back to what works for North Dakota and what’s working in the Big Sky.”
  7. UND jumped up quite a bit in RPI by winning the tournament. Currently ranked at 121.
  8. I don't believe the brackets come out until 5:00 or 6:00 tomorrow. I'd assume the team will be back. edit:. Looks like it's at 4:30. https://www.google.com/amp/www.sbnation.com/platform/amp/college-basketball/2017/3/11/14829976/2017-ncaa-tournament-selection-show-sunday-time-tv-schedule-live-stream

    Beer

Grand Forks is getting it's second brew pub...finally. http://www.grandforksherald.com/news/4231316-new-brewpub-fill-dakota-harvest-space-downtown-grand-forks
  10. It appears that teams that have already qualified for the NCAA tournament are bolded in that link, other than SDSU. So far SDSU has the lowest RPI at 155.
  11. The Big Sky Conference really needs to elevate their level of play. As Siouxfan512 referenced, the Summit is a much better Basketball conference the last 5+ years. Will it stay that way, who knows. But the NCC was always a great conference for many sports due to rivalries, being state schools, budgets, etc. The Summit has become the NCC 2.0 and is working it's way to being a solid mid major conference. EDIT: I kind of chuckled a bit last night watching the SDSU game on ESPN. They were talking about how the Summit is becoming a good mid major conference and the announcer said it's going to get better as the University of North Dakota is joining the conference in a couple years.
  12. I know some posters don't believe RPI is much of a factor for one bid conferences, but I disagree, primarily seeding purposes. SDSU was an upset, but their RPI is 155. Northern Kentucky won the Horizon and and their RPI is 89. UND on the other hand is at 172. If we win the tourney, it will go up, but not enough to pass those two teams. http://realtimerpi.com/college_Men_basketball_rpi4.html
  13. No idea, but are you still going to call it the Slummit when UND joins?
  14. Pretty sure South Dakota legislature got that changes a few years back. edit:. Looks like it changed last year. https://apnews.com/7d80c3e698824029b7be3dcaa7d28b2e
  15. Yeah, I've only eaten at a Sonic once and it didn't do much for me. Then again, I'm not much of a fast food guy either...
  16. They are only using one court I believe. They used two courts when they had the Super 'A' where both the boys and girls tourney were taking place at the same time/some location. I agree that it would be better in a Bball facility.
  17. Sonic opening in GF: http://www.grandforksherald.com/news/business/4227992-sonic-drive-coming-grand-forks
  18. I took a look at his blog, and he has an article on ND joining the B1G hockey conference that he wrote in March of 2016. Here's a link to the story: https://frankthetank.me/2016/03/22/big-ten-adds-notre-dame-for-hockey/ And an excerpt on his thoughts about UND possibly being a target of the B1G: Hockey fans that might be pushing for a powerhouse hockey program like North Dakota to join the Big Ten are engaging in the classic behavior of thinking like a fan instead of a university president. The academic, market and demographic needs of the conference are completely different than on-the-ice considerations. I’m sure the Big Ten would be very open to the top hockey schools in New England, such as Boston University and/or Boston College, but that is more driven by the league’s interest in the Boston market than competitiveness. Now a lot may have changed in the course of a year, but he seems to think ASU will be the target. EDIT: Guess SIOUXPERFAN7 beat me to it!
  19. If more people had donated to the Champions Club, UND officials would've have seen that there would be more demand for tickets for this game. Then perhaps T-Mobile Arena could've been a better alternative. Money talks...especially with the tight budget constraints UND is currently in.
  20. No, you can use the watchespn app on your mobile device or watchespn on you computer.
  21. We will be full members of the Summit for 2018-19, meaning we can win the auto bid. 2017-18 we are full members of Big Sky and can win auto bids. 2018-19 and 2019-20 our fb team will be an affiliate of the Big Sky meaning no autobid for playoffs. Which won't matte because if we have a record good enough to win the conference, we will get an at large.
