Sioux- Cia- You are entitled to your opininion and I respect that, but Kessel had nothing to do with the press conference, I believe it was USA Hockey that orchestrated that. I was at the Wisconsin game and I do agree the cupping his ear was maybe not called for but with all the crap the Wisconsin fans were giving him they deserved it. At the bar after the game some Wisconsin fans even said we deserved it. As for the obnoxioux behavior in the locker room I never heard of it and I also know people very close to the program but I will not question your source. I guess we agree to disagree.

So, your saying if Kessel would have played for Tech or AA or some other school you would have hated him as much.

Would Sioux fans treat Kessel any different if he played on another team besides the Gophers? It seems Sioux fans hate him so much only because he is a Gopher. Oshie, Toews, Kessel are great players no matter what team they play for.

I was at a Blueline luncheon in Grand Forks a few years ago and Dean Blais was talking. Someone in the audience asked him if NDSU would add Hockey since they are in DI sports now. Dean laughed and said NDSU made the dumbest decision to go DI and they will be broke in 5 years because of it. I wonder if Deano thinks UND will be broke in 5 years.

Maybe BuckySieve was just having some fricking fun (as you say he should) towards Sprig by calling the Sioux "The Fighting Chokers" as Sprig called the Gophers "Golden Chokers".

I'm not trying to start something here but I am curious. If Holy Cross would have beat Michigan or Wisconsin (I know Wisconsin was not in the regional)or some other high seeded team besides Minnesota would Sioux fans make such a big deal out of this like they are doing now. Before AZSIOUX or Triouxper rips me I'm saying this hypothetical.

As a Gopher fan, I could care less if a Sioux fan buys a Holy Cross Jersey, after all it is their own money and what they do with it is their own choice. I for one have gotten over the Holy Cross loss and if any other Gopher fan has not gotten over the loss they need to. Also, if a Sioux fan points to their Holy Cross Jersey at Mariucci or some other place all I can do is chuckle. Like I said it's their own money they spent money on a HC jersey.

fs1, My comment was directed towards DAR's post in which he stated it was priceless seeing Sioux fans doing the jersey pop to Irmen. The jersey pop was directed towards an individual (Irmen) not the team. So when the fans at the frozen Four did the same thing to Chorney it was directed towards him not his teammates, but to him as an individual. You were the one that started the Holy Cross loss compared to the BC loss. I never said that the Sioux Loss to BC was bigger than the Gopher loss to Holy Cross, even an idiot (as you call me) knows better.

Fs1, Where in my post did I compare the Gopher loss to Holy cross to the Sioux loss to BC?. What I was comparing was the Sioux fans mocking Irmen with a Jersey pop just like the Fans in Milwaukee mocking Chorney with a Jersey pop. What Irmen and Chorney did was classless and they both payed for it. By the way it's nice to see you respond by calling me an idiot, next time don't assume before you respond.

Some friends of mine were in Milwaukee and sitting near the Sioux tunnel doing the jersey pop to Chorney as he skated off the ice with his tail between his legs, it was priceless.

If Sioux fans want to spend their OWN money on a Holy Cross Jersey just to rub the loss into a Gopher fan's face, who the hell cares? It just shows the Obsession they have with the Gopher program. Boston College as well as Denver have ended the Sioux's season on a few occassions but I'm sure in the hell not going to go out and buy a Boston College or Denver Jersey just to rub it into a Sioux fans face. I would rather spend the Money on merchandise on the Team I support.

I know I'm reaching about the NCAA abanding, but all I'm saying is before there was a NCAA the Gophers won two other titles (1940 Championship Title Name was under the AAU and I'm not sure about the name of other one). I just don't think UND would relinquish their 7 titles if the NCAA no longer existed just like the Gophers shouldn't abanden their two titles just because they won them before there was a NCAA. If UND had won a title Pre NCAA would they claim it as a Championship title?

If the NCAA was abanded and replaced by some other organization would UND still claim the 7 Championships they got under the NCAA? If they did it is the same thing as the Gophers claiming their other 2 Championships that were not under the NCAA.

Actually Minnesota is tied with UND for National Titles (7-7). Minnesota had two titles before the NCAA was adopted. One was in 1940 and the other one was around 1918, thus making it seven titles for Minnesota.

Well, You guys are getting better, it only took until the twenty fifth reply to this thread before someone brought up the Gophers. Usually it happens in the top ten.

To be honest I don't know if he can be relied on, only time will tell. When he got caught on tape at the bar that was a bad decision on his part to be drinking in the bar. After that incident things seemed to be fine with him until he skipped some classes. Until he shows some maturity or just flat out grows up thats when you can fully rely on him.

When Frazee got suspended this year it had nothing to do with grades, he was not attending some classes which Lucia takes very sersiously. The kid has alot of talent he just needs to get his head on straight.

SiouxguyinStpaul, Why are you ripping on BuckySieve? He's giving next years Sioux team many props. All he's saying is both teams will be very good next year despite losing a couple keys players. As for nobody here cares, this entire message board talks mainly about the Sioux AND the Gophers.

Thanks for the back up Sioux Cia, its just too bad not all hockey fans have the same view as you. Most fans of other teams come on other fans message boards to talk hockey or give up some information on their team that a Sioux fan or whatever message board there on does not know. Of course your going to have some fans that come on a message board to start a flame fest and to me those are not true hockey fans anyway.

I go on Sioux Sports.com, USCHO,GPL and other hockey websites to get hockey info just like Sioux fans do. It's just funny how many times it happens that when a Sioux fan starts a topic on Sioux Sports.com about the Sioux eventually and it is usually very quickly someone will write about the Gophers.

It took only three posts on this topic before someone mentioned the Gophers, Yeah right, Sioux fans are not obsessed with the Gophers.

The reason why Lucia or others did not release any information is because of the privacy act. Information can't be released to the media without the consent of the family. If he does release info he or the school can be sued.

Sorry if this is a bad time to bring this up but there is a RUMOR I repeat RUMOR going around that Ralph has it in his trust that the Arena will be imploded if they change the Fighting Sioux nickname. I heard this from some Sioux friends of mine at the Final five and then again at the West Regionals. Has anyone else heard this rumor and no this question is not a joke.
