  1. Your right you can't argue about their fans attending their home games but they bitch and complain about their team when things are not going well just like every other fan base. Go to a packer bar after several losses or listen to a fanline on the radio and its incredible with the negativity.
  2. Remember you are the one who agreed with one of Sioux-cia's'descriptions of a fair weather fan ( a fan who bitches about their team when they are down) and you just stated that Bronco fans were complaining about their team. For the record, I do agree that Minnesota fans are fair weather but they are no different than any other fan base, in my opinion.
  3. You have to admit alot of topics start out Sioux related but turn into a Gopher thread. Some Sioux posters here even complain about it.
  4. When you say the Bronco fans were mad I'm assuming they were complaining about their team, right?
  5. 7>5, just out of curiousity, what do you consider a fair weather fan to be?
  6. What does University of Minnymystery stand for? Just curious
  7. Could you please show me ( a link ) where a player publically stated that they did not try to win a game. I know Lucia said that the third place game at the final 5 is not important ( which as a paying fan I disagree with ) but where did he say that he did not try to win the game.
  8. So, are you saying that The Sioux coaches or players have never said publically that " We did not come out to play or our heads were not in the game, etc". Coaches, players (including Gopher and Sioux coaches and players ) and have said that after a loss.
  9. "They" as in ALL seven of them were talking about it and two of the seven were sioux fans
  10. Like I said, I agree in PLAYOFF history it is the greatest upset but IMO not in all college hockey history. A few years ago an unranked Michigan Tech team played #1 Wisconsin and beat them in Madison. Thats more impressive than a #16 ranked team beating a #2 (Minnesota was #2 not #1). I just think a unranked team beating a #1 ranked team is more of an upset in regular season or playoffs.(IMO).
  11. First of all I could care less if Sioux fans want to spend their own money on Holy Cross Jerseys or Gopher fans spending their own money on BC jerseys. Although if I had an extra $150 laying around I would spend it on my team I follow. My question is to Siouxman, why is the Holy Cross win the greatest upset in NCAA college hockey history. I agree it is the greatest upset in NCAA PLAYOFF history but I don't think in all of college hockey history.
  12. Siouxguy, For a guy who rips on the Twin Cities as much as you do, I don't see you complain about the paycheck you get while working IN the cities.
  13. Siouxguy, What does the enrollment of a school have to do with anything? Its not like this is high school where you pick your guys from enrollment of the school. Every school recruits there players from everywhere not just from school boundaries.
  14. I have a single ticket for sale for the Saturday, Sioux/Gopher game on Dec 8th. Seat is in section 314A, row I. Make an offer if interested.
  15. How does costless work? Do you have to be a member to get coupons.
  16. Next time you say something you might want to explain it better. Your right about NDSU, they didn't dominate the scoreboard BUT they did dominate everything else.
  17. Siouxman68 - You might want to pay attention to the delusional outburts. NDSU dominated the Gophers for the second year in a row. True, the Gophers are a bad defensive football team but their offensive is not that bad. They have the #18 ranked offense in the nation which is pretty good. They averaged 450 yards per game but the Bison defense held them to 300 yards and 125 were on the ground. NDSU gained 585 yards against the Gophers and I kn ow they are bad on defense but it is still a statement. Also, lets not forget that NDSU had 20 less scholarships than The Gophers and they still beat them ON the road.
  18. How about a sign that reads ''1957''. The CC fan will know what it means.
  19. Relax Siouxkid, this all started by you saying the Gophers have all the advantages and all I did was ask you to explain what are all the advantages. This was not to be a flamefest,I just wanted you to back up your statement by some facts.
  20. You might want to complain to your AD about the Gophers playing the late game on Friday since him and eight other AD's in the league vote for the Gophers to play Friday night due to the revenue that is generated. It is an advantage to play in the early game on friday because of more rest you get.
  21. Souixkid, I understand things perfectly. You are the one who said the Gophers have ALL the advantages and when I asked what they are you came up with one- the media. Alot of schools have advantages over other schools when it comes to recruiting. A recruit may like a big city, small city, large campus, small campus, NHL size ice, Olympic size, etc. You make it sound like the Gophers have every advantage that other schools donot have which is not true.
  22. The final five is in St.Paul every year and I agree it is a home crowd advantage but not a home "ice"advantage (NHL size rink compared to Olympic size). As for hosting the regionals you could say Michigan has an advantage there. I think that State has hosted a regional many more times than Minnesota, hell Wisconsin has hosted their share of regionals. I agree with the games on TV but Wisconsin has most of their games on tv as well. UND also has an advantage over other schools, its their rink and facilities. They have arguable the nicest rink and training facilities in college hockey so I wouldn't say Minnesota has every advantage over other programs.
  23. Siouxkid, Could you explain what are ALL these advantages the Gopher hockey program has over other schools?
