I was thinking the same thing last night. There’s only one puck out there and both 17 & 9 seem to demand it.

I think the lack of a returning D corps showed. There are some decent guys back there and it will get better. Goaltender was solid. We have to be less stubborn up front and be willing to chip it in and go get it when the play isn’t there. Also shoot more!

The BU goal was overturned for offsides. This play led to the rule change nullifying the offside if the defending team gains possession and an opportunity to clear the zone.

Why they allow these alternate “home” colors is behind me. White is the home color. Period.

I would like to think it’s not as much about “buying” the talent but providing them with a clear understanding that they will be “coached up” and develop during their time here.

Where did I revise history? I answered the question posed and gave an opinion about what I thought was more exciting to the fan base…conference championships or regular season titles. Did the program not ascend to another level with the fan base under Hakstol? I was at most of the games at the end of the Gino years thanks to free tickets people had trouble giving away so I’m fully aware of what Blais did to resurrect the program. He’s a legend. Untouchable. I eventually forgave him for the horrible drive home from Madison in 1999.

To me the answer is simple. The program really took off with Hak consistently winning conference tournaments, winning regionals, and winning destination games. Every time this team hit the road, the fans followed because you knew they always had a shot to win. There’s nothing better than going on the road with the team. Regular season conference championships are nice, but performing well in the conference and national tournaments is a hell of a lot more fun!

Geez I thought DeRidder would never see this many shots like he did at Michigan State!

This team has been good at talking the talk the last couple years, but doesn’t have much to show for it other than some nice regular season titles and a NCHC playoff title on home ice. It would be nice to see them walk the walk soon, starting tonight, to give some hope that there’s potential for a deep run in the spring.

I hear the NBA is real big there too.
