8-4 in last 12 games...4-3 last 7...blah, blah. At this point, you're only as good as your next game not your last one (or 5, or 10...).

Viewing options for Sioux hockey games this season
Snake replied to fightingsiouxfan86's topic in Men's Hockey
I had a pretty good experience this year with the UND sports webcasts. I used my laptop hard wired to my router and with HDMI to my TV. I streamed through Firefox and had no issues other than an occasional stutter. Pitcture was crisp with no pixelation. This past Sunday I started out using Chrome and started getting a blurry feed. I switched back to Firefox and had no issues the rest of the game. I think Neulion was pushing Chrome as the best browser, but I really had no issues with Firefox, and I found the performance to be better in my limited trial. -
This is true for us, also. I've been away from Grand Forks since 1999 (Northwest Metro). We held onto our season tickets and drove 280 miles 1-way for every home series until having kids in 2006. Since 2006, we've been making a couple road trips a year instead of making the trek to GF, but we still get there for many of the the series over the holidays. Mankato, Duluth, St. Cloud, Madison, Omaha, Minneapolis, St. Paul, heck even a quick flight to Denver are all more accessible than Grand Forks for us. In all honesty I've enjoyed making road trips more than having the season tickets. Road games are so much fun to attend! If you've got the budget but can't get season tickets, by all means take in a couple road series!

I hate to waste away a Sunday, but can we just fast-forward to 7PM please?

Considering any loss after tonight will be to a team lower in the PWR it may not bode well for our tourney chances.
-
I use it all the time...only to about a 20% success rate!
-
It's really not on him to motivate the boys at this point, though. They have to find it within themselves considering what's at stake. They played pretty hard last night, so I don't think motivation will be a problem. CONFIDENCE, more than anything, is what this team needs. One of my favorite expressions is "next goal wins." I think if we score first tonight we will score often.
-
By my count this team is now 0-3 in games where they have a chance to clinch something of significance. They've scored 4 goals in those games, with two of them at home against lower-ranked teams. They better find some goal scoring quick for the games that now matter.

We're three points clear of the Pens. Good to have our "destiny" in our control (if one can truly control something that is destined to happen). As Badger Bob would say "a great day for hockey!"
-
Because our PWR is dependent on more than just our winning and losing.
-
Exactly...get all universities (or at least the western schools) to have a "gentlemen's agreement" to never bid with off-campus sites. Problem solved.
-
Ha, that goes without saying!
-
One would think it almost has to happen given the lack of bids for the 2015 regionals and consequential award to Compton Family Ice Arena. It would be funny if everyone just said "screw-it" to the neutral site policy and just submitted home arenas. What would the NCAA do then?
-
IIRC, that team was something like 13/13 combined on the PK against BU & BC.
-
He did one on with Katie Hale, or was I just imagining it? I seem to remember the phrase "we'll put this one behind us."
-
That's BS and excuses. "National Coverage" wasn't even on the radar when I was in school and our crowds rocked.
-
I think this is a better road team. Let's face it; those of us who travel to watch these guys are more inspiring than the home crowd these days. More gets written in the papers about the road crowds than how tough our fans were on the opponents. Anyway... SCSU probably deserved the Penrose since they were 3-1 against us. Let's face it; in the old WCHA it would've come down to head to head. We were only in the drivers seat due to a new tie breaker scheme. Regroup and start a new streak!

Way to go Zaniac!

Camera angle is off just enough to show both the crossbar and the goal line, so it isn't perfect. The puck popped the twine just behind the post. It didn't look like it crossed the line simply due to the angle of the overhead cam. The overhead angle is only "true" if the puck is on the ice.
-
By my count that's the third penalty we've taken in the WMU zone.
-
Yep, really picking it up now.

Maybe I'm just ornery because I'm not really liking what I'm seeing so far from our squad!
