  1. I had a good experience with the webcast this year. The HDMI from laptop to TV produced a decent HD picture. There was an occasional stutter in the video and the audio would occasionally be out of synch, but neither of these were major issues.
  2. It's a nice problem to have since you know there's bound to be guys banged up throughout the season.
  3. Sounds like you're trying to start something...
  4. This has to be just some random speculation...seems like they'd be mortgaging their future if they pulled this off. Four first-round draft picks plus an additional $9M on the books for 5+ years? It's funny because the Wild tout all the salary cap room they have, yet it seems a lot of teams just as good (or better) as they are have as much or more room in the coming years. I would shake my head if they did this...any other fellow Bruins fans think Coyle would look good in a spoked B?
  5. I predict I won't see a single kick of World Cup soccer this year.
  6. Darn it! What's the statute of limitations on this stuff? Can I go back to 1994??? Is 2006 fair game???
  7. Not sure that's saying much since they blew a 3-1 series lead to get to (and lose) that game 7!
  8. John Borman
  9. I think this is true...there was a period of time where that building was vacant before Topper's. Ugly's would've been early to mid-80s based on my recollection.
  10. Wasn't it called Ugly's before it was Toppers? I remember getting the Ugly Burger and it had a licorice smiley face on it.
  11. The only reason I got King Leo's was because my mom worked there when she was in HS and I remember her talking about it as a kid!
  12. Was there a King Leo's on the BK property?
  13. I know donuts are often brought up here, but anyone remember "The Donut Hole," I think where Starbucks is now on 13th and Washington? As a kid I always wanted one of their big donut cakes.
  14. They're certainly great at digging themselves holes and then climbing out of them! They're "streaky great."
  15. The Rangers are fast and they have world-class goaltending. They have a shot.

    Flavored Beers

I didn't like it so much...I thought it tasted like the failed soda "Surge." Put me in the Bud Light Lime column for the Macro fruit beers. Summer Shandy and Sam's Summer Ale are others I enjoy. Nothing beats a Gin & Tonic for real summertime drinking!
  17. Your fault for posting in the middle of Bruins talk!
  18. If you think about it, both teams have a history of playing a hard-nosed and edgy game with plenty of skill involved. The teams' styles aren't as dissimilar as some may want to think. I think Lucic may have learned a thing or two from watching Prpich get even on Paukovitch...Just sayin'
  19. Miami has been knocking on the door for quite a while.
  20. It just seems like everyone is fighting the puck on the B's - especially the Krejci line. I have never seen Krejci play such a slow game...ever. Soderberg has been very impressive, and his line was the best on the ice last night.
  21. Bridgewater's numbers against the blitz last season have been touted by many this morning.... something like 70% completions with 14 TDs and 1 INT. That's very "not Christian Ponder."
  22. And when we have a game stolen from us, Schlossman can write that we ran into "another fracking hot goalie!"
  23. I also don't like the game as much on the big sheet at the college level. There are too many missed passes and too much time is spent chasing the puck. The olympics are fine, but those are world-class hockey players.
  24. Ha ha...yeah, that was me.
  25. Paille is the one who got 2 for tripping at the end of the first OT. That hit was more questionable (close to knee on knee) than Bergeron's hip check.
