As a Red Wings fan, going to college in Iowa City with a ton of Chicago fans during their run up to the 2010 title, I absolutely despised Chelsea Dagger. Then I met my wife and her NoDak family, went to games, and the song changed meaning and with Chicago not being that good the last several years, I don't mind it as a goal song. HOWEVER, the best one I think I've experienced live was in Columbus. The Blue Jackets score, horn goes off, then they belt out "FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK" followed by a loud firework boom (much like UND), followed then by an upbeat song to finish it off. Seems like a lot but it works in my opinion. But am fine keeping it the same. May get skewered for this one, but I enjoyed DU's "Let me clear my throat" goal song bc that's just a good tune and it plays well to get you excited, but I've been told it's been changed.

I feel attacked.

Another example of this is the most recent episode of the Has Beens talking with Matt Van Voorhis. He seemed to plan on being in Denver one season, but coaching staff said you need to stay down for another year, did, and then came the following. Granted his came when he had a really poor season in the USHL. Can't really measure if it made him better for college but during his college tenure, he obviously helped a team win a natty.

Also would be curious to tune in and see quality per school. If each feed is from their own productions, that’s literally no different. If ESPN produces them, then they have an upper hand, just don’t see it.

I don’t see the Hockey East deal as that great. Much like nchc with partner CBSSN for some games, the only plus is the quality of the ESPN service vs the NCHC provider. CHN article said most, if not all, games would be on ESPN+. That doesn’t sound too special. Sounds equivalent to NCHC.tv plus CBSSN to me. Most, if not all, UND games are viewable too.

With that said, you gotta give more minutes. It was one of those “damn, who is that?” (In a good way) ….it was Albrecht.

Very small sample size, but I thought Albrecht did pretty well with what he was given, even last night. One particular shift early, stood out and possessed the puck well.

It’s mind boggling people think a team full of new teammates should just gel and be instantly good bc they’re not freshmen.

Gonna be 51° but breezy so no grilling. Lame. Maybe clean the garage of the winter muck, turn on the radio, drink plenty of beers, have sports on tv but nothing worth watching. Try to give my wife a pickle tickle and get slapped away per usual and be in bed on a Saturday by 845p.

Feeling weird myself but excited. Regardless of outcome, just hoping no more injuries to at least stay status quo going into next weekend. Hoping for wins. I think tonight is gonna be a close one. This Faceoff is stacked with the best of the league, and should be some great hockey.

Maybe they need Oshie to call Jake and tell him to stay. He's been very open about him wishing he stayed. Won't happen tho.

It's too bad this is for UND's rights and not league rights. Uniformed production across the league would be awesome. One can wish. As for this, regardless of who gets the rights, I'd be willing to bet it'll still be forced through NCHC.tv, which hurts the local market the most if it's pulled from local tv. I wouldn't think the university would go with a provider that isn't locally broadcast. I don't see how Bally and NCHC can get on the same page for this bc you know UND won't be able to make a call for this without NCHC approval. Just don't know enough about behind the scenes details to have valuable input here.

To a point I agree. But on the other hand, I don’t necessarily need to hear his words to see what’s happening in front of my eyes. It’s a telecast, not a radio broadcast. Doesn’t necessarily have to paint the picture.
