Des Moines would be a great regional site based on location, amenities and have an AHL building, but who would bid it? Omaha is closest and they go to Sioux Falls. Also, people probably think, “Iowa? Gross.” When in all honestly has everything you need for hosting with a suitable airport, hotels, etc.

Will be attending myself. Just want entertaining games to make it a worthwhile event to attend. Still wearing green.

I think it was CHNs podcast who talked with Mayotte of CC after the Omaha series loss and missing the tourney. Talks about the weight of results and how it was their demise. Was a very interesting listen hearing him talk about how they were ultimately punished for playing at home vs the road and how the results had the effect they did on pairwise leaving them out.

Why does it seem the majority of people think Blake is good enough to go pro? He’s small and can be reckless with the puck. Can he score? Absolutely, but I don’t feel he’s close to NHL ready. I think it’d be beneficial for him to stay at least another year maybe even through senior year. If he were to leave now, I see a Kawaguchi or Adams situation, going to AHL squad then may not even hang there but moved down to the jungle. Could be proved wrong tho.

And these obviously aren’t games you can do that. Pedal to the metal all game, take no prisoners. Or you lose. WMU on line 2.

I’m just as upset as the next fan. Trying to keep in perspective that this team’s expectations 365 days ago were a bit unknown losing what they did on the back end. But when they exceed those expectations by being dominant in the regular season it’s a tough pill when they fail to win when it counts. Hopefully next season will have the same success but carry it further and make STL. But the regional losses are not a good trend.

The worst part is getting all jacked up and having beers and now I’m gonna be hungover tomorrow bc of sorrowful drinking. Sports suck. See ya next season.

To end January, dominating DU with then also a sweep of WMU in Feb was average. You’re right. Yeah they lost to Omaha and CC but I see that as a matchup/system loss vs playing average. The key is if they can adapt to a given style on the fly which they didn’t show they did in the Frozen face off but the 2-7 record in that game shows it doesn’t seem to mean much to them. Or just impose will and win regardless.

Saying this team mailed it in when, let’s be honest, the three games lost included zero games that actually mattered (minus retaining a 1 seed). They were locked into the tournament when they locked up the Penrose. There’s something to be said for competing (or being complacent) in games that don’t hold much value. Hopefully they flip the switch but we’ll find out Friday night. In a game that really means something.

Gotta admit I’m thrilled of our game time for viewing ease. Sucks for DU fans having to maneuver a Thursday at noon local time game. That sucks.
