Listened to Andy Murray's postgame presser. Very impressed with him and his team. I am looking forward to having them in the NCHC. Some coaches who are exiting the WCHA need to take a page out of Murray's book. He is a pro.

My buddy told me that the perps who hung the smallpox blanket at the X this past weekend were no other than the infamous Drunk Hockey Guy, which is no surprise at all, but the 2nd perp is a big surprise and makes me sad: Ryan Cardinal of KFAN and Gopher Puck Live. I had always respected Cardinal in the past. Maybe it isn't true, but that is what the rumor is. I wonder if KFAN knows about this?

20 bucks it gets confiscated at the door. Although, a gopher fan brought in an actual blanket that had something about smallpox crudely written on it to the Final Five. It got taken down fast though. Talk about classless.

Western Michigan is a very good team. Just beat Miami and Michigan. Were up 3-0 on Michigan at one point. It's going to be a heck of a battle at a weird time of the day to play a hockey game on saturday. The best part about this regional is that there will be atmosphere, and very good atmosphere. So many times, we have seen a couple thousand fans in some crappy AHL arena, after playing at the Ralph and at the Final Five previously. I think the gopher fans cheering against us, and the droves of Sioux fans cheering for us will energize the teams.

Green really shows up nice on TV.

I made the comment that this was the most angry I have seen the masses at the Final Five. Not sure about Sioux fans, we were just happy, but St Cloud and Gopher fans were extremely angry at times! (rightfully so, I suppose)

I say this every year: the Final Five brings out a lot of the fairweather type fans who don't know the game very well. Their knowledge of the game is: "Insert team name SUCKS!" I had a handful of gopher fans come up to me after the game and say nice things. Now, on St Patty's day, I encountered the worst Gopher fans ever. Granted, many probably didn't even know that the Sioux beat them the night before. Oh well, still had a hell of a time. THREE-PEAT!

Can't stand Rusty Seacrest. He should really learn to play to the home crowd (UND) at the X.

The scene at the X last night was simply amazing. The first period and a half, we were getting run out of the building, my mindset was lets not get shutout, regroup for the NCAA's next week. What happened after that is a bit blurry, not due to alcohol consumption, but due to the emotional rush of the comeback. Sioux fans were high fiving and cheering the goal announcement, simply to score again. Friends and family texting me. At one point I checked my phone and had nearly 20 texts that I hadn't had time to check! People were high fiving across the aisles, up and down the aisles, across seats. It was something that I will remember for the rest of my life. After the game, in the X concourse, high fiving anyone wearing green, outside the X, chanting. At the tent at McGoverns. It goes on and on. SIOUX fans are the best in the nation. All of this aside, reality check: last night was a semifinal game in a conference tournament. The real prize remains on the horizon. To be in this situation right now, as a potential #1 seed in the tourney, is astounding, and speaks to the job that the coaching staff has done, and to the character of the guys in this program. GO SIOUX!
