I bet UMN-TC didn't have 4 (is it 4 or 5?) walkons playing key roles on the 2nd-4th lines. Brad S. had a great comment the other day, not since the UNO series has UND had a healthy scratch, dressing D as F, and having 2 guys on the 4th line with a center rotating in. Not to mention, the non walkons we have are primarily freshman and sophomores, and our all american goalie has been pretty average this year (THUS FAR, I have 100% faith in Dell for the rest of the season)

Good story about Duluth and sneaking booze in. This pertains to football though. Years ago when we still played Duluth, my buddies and I made the drive and did some tailgating. When it came to be close to kickoff, we all loaded up our winter coats with cans of beer and made our way through the gates. As my buddy went through, a can fell right in front of the ticket takers. The ticket takers made some comment about it being such a cold day, and let him pick it up and go in. We sat in the visitor bleachers (that were 100% FULL of Sioux fans, gotta love our road presence) and drank our beer and saw a Sioux victory. Fun times in Duluth, I've made the trip for hockey a time or two, Grandmas was the hotspot when we went. Old Chicago is always a fun time.

A move to NCAA Division II would make no difference. The NAIA would work though. (does not sponsor hockey)

As far as UMD goes, I have always liked them, the same way I like Bemidji State. I don't have that hatred for them, but more of a "brother" type of thing. I always cheered for Bulldogs when they weren't playing UND. Although, a few UMD fans on this site and that I met in person last year have started to change my mind.

Not going to turn this into a political debate, but this is very true for many reasons. They truly are MIA in ND. Sick of it.

Just can't do it. This scares me. I was "good" with where we were at. "officially" the nickname was gone, but I still wear sioux gear, chant sioux at the games. Officially, the Big Sky and other teams could not possibly have a problem with UND with the way things were. I have hope that Spirit Lake will complete the hail mary pass and the name will come back the right way. Todays events just have me feeling very uneasy. What happens next? Anyone's guess.

The NCAA has an easy decision, they get to simply point to the settlement agreement. Nothing has changed, the tribes still BOTH haven't given UND their blessing. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT ND STATE LAW. The Big Sky, and other schools have a much harder decision right now...what do we do with The University of North Dakota? These are interesting times, and I dare say I feel more uneasy about this than the absence of the name at athletic events.

Tough loss up in Alaska. These are HUGE games for UND, could move only 1 point behind UMD and more importantly, climb bigtime in the Pairwise with a sweep. I am thinking split.

Yes they do, no clue why either. When we were up at halftime this year, I thought we had em for sure! They were a very very poor team this past year. With Enderle the year before, I expected a loss.

I agree with you. They have accomplished a lot. I would like to see what they could do against an upper tier FBS team. If they won't schedule UND, we will just have to either finish higher than them in the playoffs, or even better, beat them in the playoffs. NDSU: great job so far....but we're comin! we're comin!

I would absolutely take a game at Oklahoma. You are the freaking FCS champion, the fanbase talks about being able to beat Alabama and LSU. Why not go for it and get some cash, and make it a weekend your kids/fans will never forget!??
