Oooh, good one. I say buy.

Buy or Sell: Jordin Sparks signs the National Anthem at least once at a football game.

NDSU is EXCELLENT in marketing their program statewide, but that is where it ends. That is where UND and NDSU are very different. UND is a nationally followed school, NDSU a regionally followed school.

"Safe" is a relative term. You have a statistically higher chance of getting robbed, raped, murdered in Minneapolis then you do in Grand Forks, Fargo, Bismarck, etc. That is a stone cold fact. This may be due to the fact you are targeted, or simply an innocent bystander. That said, I have spent many days and nights in Minneapolis and have never been hassled. People in LA or NYC see MSP as a place where the doors are all left unlocked, and there is no crime. Again, as many things are, it is all relative.

For those who are thinking of switching away from Midco Cable to Dish, this makes it impossible. Sure, many games may be available on FCS, but not all of them. For those who live outside the area, allowing FCS to pickup the broadcasts is a HUGE HUGE HUGE victory. I hope FCS decides to stick with UND for many years.

Kolpack is a clown for sure. To see him "root" against UND so much is a very odd sight to see being he is a media guy. He tweets and reports like the drunk old guy in the tailgating lot talks about a bitter rival.

That always give me goosebumps.

Nicely done.

You are starting to show your maturity level quite nicely. Quit with the ND bashing, we have heard it all, come up with something more original. Also, do a bit of research about our fine state, you might be surprised.

Bison fans have to remember, UND has been in the quagmire (giggity) that is transition for 5 years! Recruiting was affected as soon as the move up was announced and student athletes knew that there would be no postseason opportunities and a sub par schedule would be the norm. Hockey has been the only sport to be playing for a "real" championship during that time period, and one could argue that the average fan has always seen it that way, even when UND was competing for Division II titles. My point is, we are very proud of hockey's accomplishments, and that is the #1 sport at UND. With the transition being over, the nickname figured out, our "other" sports will become exponentially more popular, and will undoubtedly see success now that the aforementioned hurdles are behind us. The cap between hockey and the "other" sports will be closed significantly, starting this fall. Bison fans didn't have the option of a sport on campus that wasn't affected by the transition. Therefore, they had more passion for the sports such as football and basketball during the transition, as they were the "only show in town". I am very excited!!!

Boy, you said it! UNC is a textbook case of a school that should have stayed Division II. You have to give this guy props for posting on this board though, it is the first UNC fan I have ever seen here on a message board. I have my doubts though, sounds a bit like a NDSU fan trying to get under our skin.

NCAA are a bunch of clowns.

I really hope the state decides to build option 3 for the medical school. Trying to renovate such an old building seems like such a waste when you could build a brand new building across the street and still use the old one for certain things in it's current state.

Here is a question for you economist types out there: Before the oil "boom", what are some of the reasons ND was in such good financial shape? I am in an argument with a Twin Cities person who says ND will fall to crap whenever this boom is over. I tried telling them that ND was in excellent shape before oil, but couldn't cite exactly why. I mentioned agriculture and having the Bank of ND, but fell short after that. Anyone....?

This thread may help: http://forum.siouxsports.com/topic/6642-brad-berry/page__hl__%2Bbrad+%2Bberry__fromsearch__1

As hard as this is to say, I will be voting to retire the Sioux name. It is now necessary to do this, the NCAA will not budge, and life as an independent is a will eventually lead to the NAIA. I will still be wearing my Sioux jersey and gear proudly to games.

I don't think so, they won the WNBA title last year I heard. Now, if they could only get a mens NBA team in the Cities!

Maybe this deserves another thread, but how will people vote for Measure 2? Sounds great on the surface, but seems fiscally irresponsible. If vote were today, I would vote to KEEP property taxes.

Another Ann Arbor kid not keeping his word, Michigan State the victim here. Anyone know anything about this? I did a quick search and found he was drafted by a team in the OHL called the Bellvue Bulls. Michael McCarron @MacAttackUSA93 Officially decommited from MSU

DaveK: Did you ever think that the jerseys are not baggy like they were in previous decades due to functionality? aka: tight fitting=can't grab on to tackle, aerodynamics, etc.

It isn't the idea of speculating, that is what these boards are all about. I meant that the "body isn't cold yet and we are looking at the will" It was a respect thing for Eades and all he has done for UND.
-
Listen to us all speculating about the next guy for the job, shame on us. I'd like to thank Cary Eades for his tremendous commitment to UND over the years. Good luck Cary!
