  1. There are a good number of people picking Texas A & M Kingsville to beat UND on the d2football.com messageboard. Fans, get out there, cheer loud and help the Sioux whoop these guys!
  2. The athletic office at Hyslop has yard signs available as of today. They say there is a 1 sign limit per person, bring your friends, grab some and support UND!
  3. With all due respect to TAMU-Kingsville, yes, this should be an easy win. That said, it is the first game of the season, crazy things can happen. My prediction: Sioux 41, Kingsville 17
  4. I have seen these signs around, where can I get one (or two)?
  5. Sounds like they is "yella" to me!
  6. This idiot got us talking with his blog, which was his goal. The solution, LET'S QUIT TALKING ABOUT IT.
  7. I see that side of it also...I just know it would hurt attendence, and if a statewide audience sees a half full Alerus, it can't help. For a product like hockey, where all home games are televised, the arena still easily sells out, so it works for that. I really see both sides and am not sure what the answer is. You are probably right that statewide TV, in the long run, will help the program out. Here is a better idea: get the FSSN HDTV cameras for hockey and the few football and basketball games. How many schools our size would have their own HD channel?
  8. Televise 1 or 2 road games statewide! If WDAZ, FOX, etc can't get the advertising money, use a DI fund at UND to foot the bill and advertise UND during every break. The exposure will be great, spend money to make money. I am against televising more than 1 home game, as it hurts attendence.
  9. Why do I remember this kid, did he have a good game against us?
  10. University of Wisconsin Lacrosse is a tiny, puny crappy school...with a pretty good Division III football team. In a mythical matchup against Montana Tech, I'd take UW-Lacrosse.
  11. Two words: Doreen Yellowbird. If they cut her, I might just start up my subscription again!
  12. This has nothing to do with the schedule, and all of those points are very argueable and the same nonsense we have been hearing for years...it would be a great topic to start on BISONVILLE.COM. Go tell them that your big brother was picking on you again.
  13. That is a simple fact, and if you argue it, you are letting your heart get in the way of logic.
  14. How does that compare to the UMN, Ball State and CMU paydays? Does Texas Tech pay for travel on top of the 350K?
  15. Indeed, the little bro to the south better watchout! The big bro is back in town! (yeah this statement looks petty and will cause bickering, but it is good old UND-NDSU rivalry talk, something that has been mising for awhile)
  16. Well said. Look for a few more games like this to pop on the schedule in the next few years.
  17. I just saw that, I like it better than ones from years past.
  18. I like it. There is none of this "tiptoeing" into the former IA playing teams like Ball State or Central Michigan like a certain school to the south.
  19. Thanks for the link. I am excited to be a part of a conference with you and Poly, I think UND, USD and you guys are leagues above the other members of the Great West. It is only a temporary conference for us, I assume the same for you guys.
  20. I an Kidd wants to go to Detroit too! Heavy Metal Hockey reference...
  21. I agree.
  22. Thanks for the welcome. Look for UND football to be a dominant force in a few years. Put it this way, the NDSU Bison were at a much lower level then UND when they left Division II.
  23. You were serious...you make me laugh!
  24. Are you being serious?
  25. Well, they beat the mighty Minnesota Gophers, at least nobody can ever take that away from them.
