Time for the comeback Sioux!
-
He has good points, I assume this is what happens at Florida State.
-
Bring a sign that says "I hate BC" and you will be popular with everyone.
-
Holiday Inn and Hilton Garden Inn are right next to the arena and bars/restaurants. The Best Western is a drive, but usually Sioux fans there and I believe the teams stays there. You will see Sioux fans everywhere by the arena. Popular options before the game are Buffalo Wild Wings and Bluebricks. After, those places are fun, and if you are young, there is a club called "The Haze" that seems popular. There is a gentlemans club named Metlers, and a place like Suite 49 called "Pub 500" that is good for a postgame drink and app. All of these places are around the arena. Just walk around and look for the green and white and say "Go Sioux!".

NCAA is a joke.

Me too, I had no idea who that punk was. He looked like he was headed to a club to dance up on people and drink vodka redbulls, not commentate on a college football game.
-
I have always heard of the Wacipi, but didn't know it was equivalent to a Pow Wow. I thought it was an event that only American Indians could attend. Once again, I have learned something about American Indian culture, in part due to the Fighting Sioux name.
-
Friday: Gregoire Saturday: Trupp THANKS FOR DOING THIS AGAIN!
-
All I will say is that I have never attended a Pow Wow, etc. If these things are held on campus, I never hear of them because the groups that sponsor them don't alert me that they are happening. The Ralph greatly publicized the events being held on Sunday, and I was able to observe some time honored traditions that were very impressive. The sound of the drum echoing with the tribal member's chants gives a person chills. I would say more, but am afraid you will spin it and take it out of context to meet your agenda. Can I really win no matter what my response is?

You got the right sections...we were also threatened by a "hillpunk" , a hybrid between a hillbilly and a young punk at a local bar in Mankato. Evidently "Sioux" is a girls name, as this fellow told us about 20 times throughout the night, each time thinking he was more clever.
-
As did I.

Tickets for MANKATO series now on sale on ticketmaster. GET SOME!

I caught that also, never heard that analogy, seemed awkward in the booth after that one.

Again, I contend that if this was such an important protest, with the entire region aware of it days before the game due to editorials in the Dakota Student, the GF Herald, and an email sent to all UND students and employees, why didn't hundreds or thousands of people turn out instead of the 20 that did? BECAUSE IT IS A NON ISSUE! The extremely extremely small, vocal minority tried to rally their "forces" via the liberal media and UND email system, to no avail. Great cermony by the tribal elders before the game though...love that huge "Sioux Country" banner with the 2 tribal flags flanking it. Great move by the Ralph and UND. ( I know UND was officially not a part of this...wink wink)

I agree, there were times I caught myself looking for TJ out there, I saw #4 and was thinking Chorney at times, we will miss those guys. I liked what I saw in Gregoire tonight though.
-
I just realized Toews didn't play, is he hurt?
-
Great cermony at the Ralph. I saw the 14 protestors, after the editorials in the Dakota Student and the GF Herald, combined with the email sent to all UDN faculty and students....you would think if it were a worthy cause, there would be hundreds or a thousand people there. Compare this to the 100 plus reservation members at the game, they were not noticable at all. There was a very nice drum ceremony before the game...very educational. GO SIOUX!
-
not bad, nothing really stood out. I assume Walski will get the start next time
-
No kidding. BI-son fans make me laugh, more than gopher, badger, and other program's fans. I really do think the term "little brothers" applies to the folks in Fargo.
-
You are funny, thanks for checking in on the board though. Were you one of the fans booing the Bison in the first half? That was great!
-
Read in the Herald that this exhibition is nearly sold out. That is outstanding! Still some tickets available though, bring the whole family!
-
No kidding, they even have their FOOTBALL team come out with the lights out at the dome. Something I have seen at almost every HOCKEY arena I've been in, but never in a FOOTBALL arena, cept maybe arena league...
-
Yet again, another ripoff, the Bison band is playing a mentally challenged version of "in heaven there is no beer".
