It does make it seem that ending the rivalry with the Sioux was Lucia's #1 priority.
-
"It isn't a healthy rivalry" I'd agree this is garbage, but it is a quote from Lucia himself. And you'd like us to believe other commitments are ending the series between the two. Lucia doesn't want it, and so it ends. And you can then go to another message board.

Kristo, Knight

So I wonder if in the post game last weekend, after the cheap shot Rau threw from behind, Lucia said, "We can't have that kind of stuff in college hockey,", like he does periodically after games against the Sioux. He's a weanie that would prefer no check hockey, or at most games where only his players can check (most of which are cheap shots and after whistle punches).

Who's got the video of the dasher dance. That was hilarious; he needs some wings if he's going to take flight, flapping his arms didn't work. And Zajac's first period cfb on Mac was not even a 2 minute penalty. Once again only UND gets cfb's.
-
I'd be shocked as well if either adds midcosportsnet. All we can do is bombard the two with requests to add it, but I can't see it happening.

Not fuzzy here, maybe in MN. Directv gives you super low prices for 1 year, or for some things, 2 years, then dings you big time. The genie/client combo is actually $26 after 2 years. If one wants a two year deal at a low price and then drops the service, directv is a good way to go. For long term, not so much. The hopper/joey price you listed is the price, not a starting price with hidden future increases. Directv's FCS is the deal breaker for Sioux fans, but that's for this year only. If either dish or directv adds midcosportsnet next year, they'll probably get my business.
-
I have dish, and the new hopper/joey receivers are excellent, looks like directv now has competed with a genie, but the directv receivers cost is more/month than the hopper/joeys. I quit directv primarily because of the constantly rising prices, and especially, the absence of local networks in my area (dish had them several years ago, directv may have them now, not sure). Sports add-ons are similar for the two providers, except, dish does not have FCS, so no Sioux hockey on dish this season.

Could have been a 1 seed at home and lost to Holy Cross.

Tried to post the url, but his damn site automatically adds the media tags, which just repeats the above embedded video, can't even edit the tags, it just reverts back to media tags. -

Right click the embedded video above, and copy url. Paste it into a new window, and go there. Or, just click on the video title. -
The FCS playoffs on ESPN3 were found on FTA last year.
-
My dishnetwork guide shows those 2 games at $26 PPV each. Are they free on directv? May have answered my own question. Appears they are part of the ESPN gameplan, or $26 each if you want to watch just the one game.

Except for the number of goals scored, the game story reads much like last weeks Friday night win at Notre Dame, with the roles reversed for North Dakota

UHF, and where better to pick up straight line ota signals than the RRV. The coteau between me and Minot/Williston/Bismarck cuts me off from ota tv.

This is not really technical, it's just an antenna, like rabbit ears on steroids, it will get you all locals, and the db4 is multidirectional and will reach 65 miles. The directv hd dvr (the model 21 or later) will scan the locals into your guide, if you hook up the antenna to it (should be an antenna in coax jack on the back). You missed me, I was there for Duluth. And the db4e is around $50 from amazon or ebay, another 20 gets you the antenna mast (j mount). You may find a pile of dish or directv masts around, which will work also, for free. Many installers have a pile of them. I think I have one on the floor in my garage (don't remember if I through it or not).

http://www.antennasd...store/DB4e.html An excellent ota antenna. Don't know if directtv receivers do this, but you can hook up a dish receiver via coax from one of these antennas, then scan the local channels in to your dish guide. Works great, I'd guess you could get Bemidji PBS as well as all local GF networks. This one will work inside your house, although outside on the roof is always best. Note the review is from PSB.

Sioux/Bison football to play at the Alerus Center!!!!
sprig replied to Siouxperfan7's topic in Non-collegiate sports
Hazen (the Bison). Sioux defense looked much like this year's UND defense. -
So lets go to the more important calls. Obvious cfb's by Huskies, 1 Friday, 1 Saturday, not called. Obvious cfb on the Sioux, called. Only Adam can make this stuff up as he goes, and when the Sioux are involved, it favors the opponent, 100% of the time.
-
Adam, as head of the officials, won't be on the ice, a big + for the Sioux. Any opponent has to want Don Adam to officiate ND games, it's the same thing over and over again.
-
Exactly the same hit from behind on Simpson that Schmaltz got the 5 for. Garbage, as was the dive on Kristo. Typical Don Adam when calling a Sioux game.
-
May be; not much going on in HE tonight, BU and BC don't play, so nothing to show for them. They will have the BU/BC game on Sunday afternoon.

412-24 on the dish hopper

That call was as wrong as it appeared to you. Replay showed clearly the ball would have been intercepted, but the SUU receiver went on the defense and knocked the ball away, preventing an interception. Good play by the SUU receiver, and not a penalty on anyone.
