  1. While I'm not one to get the "code", I'm not a real fan of the NCHC assigning seats based on when they are bought, or lottery, or similar, since I don't know how they determine what the "best" seats are. When I was selected in the lottery for Frozen Four ticket for 1983 at the old ralph, I was like #2 in the lottery. Therefore I should have received, according to them, some of the best seats with that high a number. My seats were top row, behind a net. I assumed I was given bottom choice because my address was SD, if it had been MN, or WE, or RI or Mass., I'd likely have received good seats, although I'd expect if I'd had a ND address they would have been good as well. At any rate, Harvard beat the Gophers, and lots of seats were suddenly available, as nearly the entire fan base baled on the meaningless third place game vs. Providence, they played once again like the team we knew as the "chokers" and lost again. Always thought this is where the "meaningless third place game" excuse began. At any rate, I knew going that it was Wisco's tourney, since imo their only competition was the Sioux, who were maddeningly overlooked in the smoke filled room selection process. 0 Quote MultiQuote =614411&st=&auth_key=9f2c25d9d3cac1f4d61ad09ff4d9c720]Delete
  2. Haven't looked back, but I obviously mistook you for one of the posters complaining about Sioux fans that are "supposedly satisfied" with Broadmores. If that wasn't you, sorry.
  3. So you just want a natty. What happens, then, if the Sioux lose again in the NCAA's. What I meant was, not enough 4 year players, etc, etc, are excuses just as much as your list above. If you're not directing your anger at coaches and/or players, then you must be redirecting it at other Sioux fans, who you feel aren't as worked up as you are.
  4. But when some talk about why we lost, you talk about them making excuses. Not sure what you are getting at here. I don't see any fan here that doesn't want a natty, but if you expect me to ignore Mcnaughton's and Broadmore's and wish we hadn't won those, I won't agree. I want all of them, not just one, the natty being the most important, but the other's being fun as well. Maybe you're just one of those that want coaches fired, after every loss. As you get older, you'll be able to appreciate small successes, and you'll get a bit more patient to get to the ultimate success. We all want it now, but what do we do when it doesn't happen?
  5. While that is true, I hate the argument when calls or non-calls are 10 to 1 in favor of the opponent, like they were in this one. For that reason I wanted the Sioux to wrap up and hold the Bemidji players when they had their long forages in the Sioux zone, exactly like Bemidji did to the Sioux. Then maybe the whistles would have come out. I hate it when virtual tackles and stick take downs that prevent a player from getting to the net with the puck go uncalled.
  6. Should have lived through the 70's, went to games not expecting a win, just hoping that we'd get to see 1 or 2 over the entire season. Good guys on the team that we all knew, however, and they played hard, just didn't have enough depth or talent. We've been spoiled for a long time ever since.
  7. And with the win Lowell takes over the 4th 1 spot.
  8. They've got to be feeling the pressure big time, this close to winning their first McNaughton. It won't be easy for them.
  9. Don't doubt it, and I also hate it when the Gophers get away with this crap.
  10. Yep, I agree, and they looked good again today.
  11. Riverhawks win 3-1, so the NCAA can start engraving the trophy with their name.
  12. While I wanted the Gophers to lose, I don't mind the Gwoz getting his due on occasion. This was obviously one of them
  13. Maybe not, but they certainly don't show replays of Gopher penalties, especially those that don't get called, while they always show opponent penalties and comment on why the were/should have been called. And Denver is the one team besides the Gophers that seems to always have calls go their way; guess they were trumped last night. Gwoz will have to have a good old boy meeting in Denver this week.
  14. Although I hate it in the NHL when it's obviously accidental, I'd rather have it called every time in college hockey, like the NHL. Certainly we don't want penalties left up to college officials judgment.
  15. And, if Bemidji starts tackling them next weekend, they will get the PP's, even if it's little Shep and Anderson.
  16. And now 3-0. Kiss the NCAA championship goodbye, let's get the Broadmore.Fortunately for Starman, he'll have Miami and WMU to faun over next year, when CBSSN controls TV for the NCHC. Can't believe they've for the most part ignored televising the teams they will be showing next season. And now a notre dame/HE promotion between periods. Did they make a deal with HE for next year as well?
  17. Thanks, couldn't find a way to get just Denver and MN tied for 6th.
  18. Hope it's different than the young obnoxious oil people drunks that have invaded NWND, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll give you guys a Washington for every Lincoln, before the Lincoln's get used. I'd think the Washington's work equally as well in the john.
  19. Good for you, although I think the alcohol at the event should be off limits.
  20. Crap, and here I thought that everyone had a chance. May as well give up now.
  21. I think we can assume, at least I hope we can, that Mankato does not play Wisco/Bemidji style hockey? Haven't seen them, but their record/goal scoring abilities would seem that they don't play the old hack at everyone style they used to play in the past either. Nothing worse than being driven nuts by the ole/ole after a Mankato goal, and nothing better than the video of Sioux fans leaving the Kato barn singing ole/ole after a sweep.
  22. While I can see that when running the what if scenarios, I can't get MN to lose 4 points to Bemidji and end up worse than a 6 seed, and another tweet states that MN needs 1 point to assure home ice
  23. The Michigan example is very similar to the 1-0 Denver loss several years earlier. Both Michigan and Denver played not to lose, and were totally dominated, but played that ropeadope game and won. 1 in 100 chance but it happened twice in the last 13. Michigan went back to their normal game against Duluth, and got to OT. They obviously didn't think their chances were real good beating the Sioux straight up. I can't fault the Sioux effort in either loss. Bemidji played the same game as those 2 this weekend, and being less talented, managed a tie, but would not have without the favorable no whistles (same as the Denver loss, when tackling and interference was allowable).
