I visited this board for many years and not till this year, joined the SS team because of some of your same concerns. Yes, there were times I was uncomfortable with what was posted here. I always sensed that this board would be better for UND, and all of us as a whole, if we all followed the golden rule a little closer. Now don't get me wrong, I still think this SS board is a great thing. There are boat loads of visitors here. When I was on a sports team, our coach schooled us players on how to get along and how to respect others. On this board, the moderators watch that we follow the rules, and the rules allow us to shoot some arrows. Therefore, we have the posts in our threads that we have. On here there is a lot of ( I'll call it ) self control in the high energy threads, and of course that varies with everyone's expectations. And the reason I say that, is in the next paragraph. Go to Bisonville and read their game threads when things aren't going so well, pretty sad with some of their posters. One example of many is the 2nd half of the SDSU FB game. You may wonder how they can recruit??? That makes our SS posts pretty minuscule in the "get a grip" category. Some posters are very arrogant and have a strong infatuation with us. There's similar boards at many U's. It's the nature of the beast. Except for the trolls and occasional outside friendly visitor, we realize we are on UND's team.

In the over all scheme of things, it's probably not the best for UND. Kind of leaves a feeling of division. Attrition is part of this equation, have you noticed nobody cheers for the Flickertails anymore. In this country we have freedoms, message board moderators, and self control as to how you shoot your arrow.

Isn't there supposed to be something special about special teams: Kicker, Holder, Long Snapper, Punter, Offensive Lineman, Defensive Lineman, Kickoff Specialist, Kick Returner, Punt Returner, Upback, Gunner, and Jammer?

Great Post, just posted on "2016 Attendance" and made comment about getting over the loss to Richmond. This just got me over it. Thank You, Mr. Mollberg! What a Great Post.

Monday morning, life goes on, work helps getting over this, Need to look forward! Some say it's just a game. Bull Sh$t, just a game, this is Sioux Country, I'm looking forward to another season, Thank You and hats off to our FB program and the all the fans through out the season. 10,000 fans for this show is very close to season average, respectable turn out. Great accomplishments this year and a stepping stone to greatness from last year to next year. Thank you SiouxSports for all the excitement and you posting fans for all the interaction. Thank You.

Couple next to me (sec 215), also there first UND FB game. Students accross from me didn't stand much, but cheered.

UND-FB-FAN has a very important point. Mentally this is where one wants their team and fans to be at.

Verses all the big plays Richmond had on 3rd down, our defense was close to stopping them a few times. Our inability to move the ball in the 4th quarter are also reasons to the 24 - 7 floop. There were many many plays and play calls that contributed to this melt down.

While their bench exploded, most likely not enough immediately( but gives them another chance to get on track), but the blocked punt mentally hurts us much much more. It takes a combination of events to lose after 24 - 7. The pendulum swung immediately with the block, then momenten continued to build till last play of the game as Richmond lead for the first time with 0 seconds left.

Great walk on crowd (Build the team, Build the fan base) UND FB is back! Attendance is over 10,000 if no one is in the 4 corners but rest of seats are filled, in another words, seats filled between the goal lines. There were quite a few people in the 4 corners, not many open single seats between the goal lines. Also, fans on catwalks. Do we still practice this accounting misfire by the AD during the playoffs? I posted with Richmond fans during the week and some figured under re-porting in their NC A&T playoff game and jokingly mentioned don't tell NCAA; About 3,200 Richmond fans reported and most posters that were at that game figured 4,500 sat down. Eludes to potentially something going on? Definitely many conversations in GF in past playoff games about attendance. This games attendance differential isn't as far off as my recollection of past speculation. Is there a possibility of certain attendees getting in free: band, extra players, certain students, etc.? Therefor these would not be in paid attendance numbers? Used to think UND had to buy the tickets for the band?

I was trying to put this in my last post but just didn't fit. After three weeks of preparation; players healed up pretty good, coaches got rusty? Maybe they over analyzed everything, too much time to prepare, lost sight of our strengths and weaknesses?
