Good comment, Also believe there's more than 1,000 going to MSG that might have gone to the FB game. That says a lot to the UND fan base. That's great to have a good turn out in the Big Apple, that's great for our FB fan base that we have a fan base larger than whats showing up at the Hawks' nest by another 1,000. This turn out Sat. might be acceptable, for the strides were making. REbuild FB comes 1st, happening. REbuild fan base 2nd, happening.

In the early playoff years of the Al, I remember something to the effect that if the student section is sold out and the rest of the stadium isn't, on Friday, the ticket office can sell additional student tickets and seat then outside of the student section for $5.

I see them in line at the Al ticket windows before games, that's why it's always so jammed on ground floor coming into the FB games. So they must get something that's scanned to get by the scanners. Then who knows how that's counted.

I remember something about that, there's probably no record of who actually showed up for the game, and most definitely not for who stayed for the most of the game. No scanners. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they go by ticket sales, and did back then also, except in special occasions like FB playoffs when AD's would have an accounting misfire and numbers really come up short, or rumor has it. This is why the B1G did as good as they did in attendance in hockey last year, I looked this up at the end of the season. You take UND out of the equation and compare the 7 NCHC teams left and add Notre D to the B1G and compare 7 teams on each side. Their attendance was like 2,000 more per game than NCHC. Now that's sold tickets, not people that actually showed up. Pretty sure same thing happened with this game, the record of attendance would be much higher than couple hundred. I'll also add, if I remember correctly, that there was a fair showing at the start of the game, but many fans left shortly after landing, and some even did touch and goes. Not a good day for walk ons.

It'll help, we’ll beat the spiders, take note, the Spiders are not going to be walking around and looking at the fans, # of fans is not in this equation. What is, the circuit breaker will flip when game starts, this is inside and noise will be loud, our team is rested and mostly healed, lots of talent that’s even more developed since the N Arizona game, 3 weeks is an unbelievable amount of time to address all kinds of concerns, will also be achievers in the first half therefore accomplishing a complete game. All these complement each other.

I’m feeling a switch getting flipped Saturday; a sharper team, a few new plays, a complete game, a playoff team. This team was improving through the season, and therefore expect the same continued in this 3 week period. My God, that’s half of booth camp, GI’s get reprogrammed in 6 weeks. Most coaches would be worried about rust, not Bubba, he’s oiling his men. Leave no doubt = #7 with a home game, and they’ll prove it Saturday.

Correct, for Strait there were close to 21,000 people in the building. Football capacity with standing room, little over 13,000. Now I'm hoping for half or like 10,000 fans Saturday. That would be a success and enough to put the lights out for the Spiders.

4 days till the biggest show at the Al. That may be questioned by George Strait or Cher fans, but not me. Now, if your thinking about the attendance of 20,000 that gathered back then, at best, will be about half? Richmond had about 3,200 reported in last weekends game, which might be low if they under-reported (have no proof of that). There are local rumors eluding to such accounting misfires in past playoff games, who knows? Nobody likes feeding the Trolls or the NCAA (which wants 75% of gate). So if we say half that attendance, the Hawks' Nest is going to be loud and put the Spiders at an disadvantage. 12th man is showing up so we win the game. They know how to lose a game in ND, they did it in Fargo last year.

We kind a went down that road with the first and last home games of the season! I think Bubba now realizes that that is too hard on the fans. So, that's been replaced in the playbook with; we will score first and never lose the lead.

Good point, band used to get in free, don't know if that applies for playoffs. So this could be an additional 100 fans in the Hawks' Nest that aren't counted yet? This could be getting close to half the student section taken up? I've been on SpiderNation and a few fans claim they bought tickets through Richmond U. We might have a respectable crowd.
