Und will never get a recruit again like elijah. A true fresh at 6'5" 300 and as athletic and powerful as he was. Would of had 4 more years of growth. Easily could of been a 2nd round draft pick. This one hurts, hurts bad! I don't get it

Ndsu is head and shoulders above everyone right now in fcs congrats to them I guess. Losing Georgia southern and Appalachian St. and with the perrianal powers not being perrianal powers have a lot to do with why they look so good. Montana, E Washington and Delaware and a few others are not playing top level football. When looking at the top four conferences in the fcs, only the mvfc has stepped up. It could be easy to say that if you removed ndsu from that conference they would also be on par with the other conferences. The CAA, Big Sky, and southern are not what they were. This is why I see ndsu going for 10 in a row. The competition in the fcs is just not there. But don't kid yourself, they would not be able to compete in a P5 conference week in and week out, no way!! Maybe the sun belt and the likes of those but no way a P5.

Cannot stand ndsu!! But they are built for a decade run of championships. $&#^!!!

Great recruiting week. Adding quality depth is a must for any program and und hasn't had that luxury quite yet. Bubbas aggressive d will only get better with the depth issue not being an issue. He will be able to keep the" pedal to the metal " mentally regardless of injuries . Now all we need is a scholly qb

Not a huge loss!?? Demon would be a starter next year. It's an absolute huge loss if true. He has impressed me since his true freshman year. I can only hope this is a rumor

Very happy he will being playing for und, just very frustrating that their #1 priority in this class wasn't a scholarship qb. Last year proves you need a quality backup. Und faltered when studs went down. Bartles is Bartles and heidlebaugh is such an unknown. Maybe heidlebaugh will make some noise in the spring and summer and makes a push for #1 or #2 !? That would be refreshing to hear.

Und isn't quite there yet, but they improved leeps and bounds at the end of the year. Enough for us to be excited. I'm with oxbow, our style of play and with wentz out, we would of done better then Richmond. Had we had to play Richmond, Richmond maybe would of beat us by more then ndsu because of their style of play. Und needs to shore up the secondary to compete with those passing teams. Its not ndsu's offense that would beat und, it's their defense. Their defense is lights out the last month.....and having homefield doesn't hurt.

Und made ndsu rely on him. Ndsu couldn't run against und. It was by far their worst rushing game in years. Minus wentz, und would do better then most against ndsu, defensively. It's the ndsu defense that is stellar right now, they will give most teams fits.

Und would of lost to ndsu had they met in the playoffs but ndsu wasn't able to run on und the first time and they wouldn't of been able to the second either. Wentzs arm was the offense for them against und.

Do you expect anything different from the ag schoolers. They want everyone to kneel down and kiss their feet, and when someone doesn't, its an issue. They want justification at all times as to why they are gods gift. I work with some ndsu fans and they are very good with acknowledging what they have done but do not need the every day pat on the back and did not inherit the gloat attitude. They win and lose with dignity as where these f,?&$ing trolls feel the need to come here and remind us why nobody on this planet has a chance. Then they wait for a response and when it's not what they want to hear, everyone else is an idiot. Stay at you own site so you can circle j@#^ 24/7.

This. Half of my family are diehard ndsu fans, but have been for decades. Its the "new" bandwagon jumpers that are both annoying and funny to listen to. The few people I know personally in the Fargo area, 2 of which have become "fans" since the 2010 year. Now they're the ones the have the biggest mouths. Yet, when I ask any football question, like who they are playing or and something about their defense or offense, they arrogantly ignore that question and revert back to their championships!?!? They go to the game to be seen, not to follow football. If ndsu is to have any bad years I see a huge drop off in attendance as these "new" bandwagoners will jump ship to the next neat thing. And maybe just maybe if that was to happen, we can pray that these trolls go as well !!

Football is a fairly simple game. Win in the trenches. All those gimmicky high flying teams are built to please the fan, but they are built for summer play. If you look at every level of completion recently from the nfl (Seattle), fbs (Alabama, Ohio st) fcs (ndsu), they own the line. It's a team sport therefore talent is needed at most every position to succeed, but it definitely starts in the trenches. Finesse football doesn't win the final game, the old style power football has proven it's the winning catalyst.

A qb needs the time to develop and learn the system as he is very likely the most integral part of the offense and maybe the entire team. Studsrud goes down und goes 0-3 wentz goes down they go 6-0. Yes, different circumstances but the point is they didn't miss a beat as where Unds offense was just a mess. Quality depth at the qb position is crucial and right now und is looking at a 5th yr senior that has done zero and a freshman that I can only hope is worth 2nd string status. I do hope heidlebaugh is the answer. That still gives und only 2 potential qbs. Nervous
