It will never fail to amuse me how they recruited someone that another school thought wasn't ready for college hockey.
-
They don't even have any smoke on a CHL blue chip though. He may not have a roster full of Edina divas and alumni's offspring, but his roster management isn't nearly as strong as is was when he was recruiting to the concrete palace. His tenure would be viewed differently if Cooley hadn't taken one of the more ill advised penalties in college hockey history, but as of now all he's done is get them back to status quo after Lucia left it in worse shape than he found it.

It's kinda tongue in cheek on my part. We hold coaches to a high standard on this forum!

Minnesota announced a hockey-specific NIL. If Motzko wasn't in over his head that would have happened sooner!

Chuckled at Bryn holding out for a discount code on Gage's moving company. Well done on both ends of this discussion.
-
Bryn's following list is a good peek into who he is interested in. For instance, Dayne Beuker (longtime target) and Nolan Fitzhenry (would be a major coup).

Something hockey pundits keep mentioning regarding CHLers going the college route is that they may find the grass isn't greener and rejoin their MJ team mid-season. Players seeking the biggest payday seem like the biggest flight risks.

Stecher in the lineup tonight for Klingberg.

The last 3 Chicagoland commits prior to Strathmann never made it to campus (Rowe, Reid and Rowe; sounds like a law firm). I'd include Matheau but that's probably a born there, not from there situation.

He was one of the "100 Greatest NHL Players" list for the 100th anniversary. With nearly 300 players in the HOF, he might not be a lock but he has a good chance.

One time all-star, nowhere near a PPG average. Fan favorite but doesn't have the resume.
-
Bonus points if the eastern school is BU (revenge for the Fargo Screwjob) or Cornell (Wodon's mea culpa would be incredible).

Watch him take the Dallas job! Haha

ABC is a pipe dream for that time of year on a Saturday night. They already have to shape it around avoiding NCAA BBall.
-
Wodon needing to "explain himself" after the interview was a good indicator of who won the debate.

Carle does not hold back on Wodon. https://open.spotify.com/episode/0I04dqRgJ0bWMBKoU8BMRS?si=4P_WqkQ5Ta2t36M9GhU0qw

It's very possible the coaches suggested it to him after getting traction on CHL kids.

Former NAHL GM. Every Juniors GM in North America owes Chyzyk a meal/drink for improving their career prospects overnight.

With no HoF or Icebreaker exempt games, what are we going to do this year to get more games? Another BC exhibition trip? Or a weekend in Anchorage/Fairbanks? -
What you described is the definition of slated...? With the respect I have for the man I kept it vague. Based on the below quote from this article, he was allowed to leave with grace, and from what the whole article says it sounds like he dodged a bullet. "When Charlie was let go and Ken came in..." https://thehockeynews.com/womens/pwhl/more-pwhl-minnesota-staff-dismissed-from-toxic-and-unprofessional-environment

Charlie Burggraf coached Gopher women hockey as an assistant and was HC at Bethel (D3) for a long time. Both men's and women's I believe. Was slated to coach in PWHL but stepped aside before it started. He coached me in Little League and was awesome. He LOVED antagonizing over-enagaged opposing coaches; got a ton of laughs out of his team, our parents and the umps.
