NCHC.tv contract with Sidearm (or is it Sideline?) Sports runs through next season so two more seasons with the status quo. Series at Clarkson will be on ESPN+ though.

What's the story on Nolan Marto? Assuming he's going into 10th grade so another year until eligible to commit. Northstar/ SSM /SF Power up next?

Defenseman Zach Sharp was drafted in the 4th round following his freshman season at WMU. Under the radar stud on the back end.

" ...would make Maryville only the second university in St. Louis to join the ranks of Division I hockey, underscoring the city's reputation as one of the nation's great hockey communities. " If it's only the second, that undermines (not underscores) the reputation as a great hockey community...

Link? Or at least who it was? Can't be Lambert, he'd never admit a team west of Michigan is good. -
And the rational crowd said he's making a mistake.

Top ten pick in both USHL and WHL is encouraging.

Schmaltz did well when he and heatdaddy interviewed Greg Powers, credit where credit is due. -
Dude I surf with occasionally went there, it's smack dab in the middle of the best surf spots in New England, with the best waves while school is in session. I had no idea they even have hockey.

Yeah, it's not a great setup for fans having marquee games unavailable on streaming in this day and age. Doesn't help that they only get mid-major games in other sports.
-
Starman will be missed, hopefully stays on the air somewhere. Does his homework and knows the game. They did Holden dirty though.

Good call, Amazon and Apple are trying the same thing. ESPN having a near monopoly on hockey could result in another service overbidding just to get some puck on their platform. Personally my go to is Prime Video, tons of good neo-noir movies and (for PNW residents) every Kraken game.

https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/nchc-cbs-sports-network-will-not-renew-agreement No more NCHC on CBSSN. Hopefully on ESPN+ after the contract with Sidearm expires in 2027.

Wouldn't be a surprise to see one or two more go W. All things equal, WHL locations > USHL locations (for the most part).

ASU, OSU, Maine, QU listed of the 12 (!) offers he received. Have to assume if MN, WI, ND, UM and MSU were among them they'd be mentioned.

Discusses Hockey East NIL, estimates Boisvert getting 100k-150k

Looking at Michigan's roster, they have 3 blue chips penciled in for top 6 (Hage, Horcoff, Valentini). Schifsky and Hughes are proven ~point per game scorers in college. Perron will need to beat out Spence and McKinney (among others) for a top 6 spot. Grass is not always greener exhibit for years to come. EDIT: Hage, Horcoff, Schifsky and McKinney are all centers, so not likely all are top 6. Still not a lot of Top 6 and PP time available for him.

Big Ten is a better fit for finesse in lieu of grit. Third line probably won't get shutdown matchups. Michigan clearly recruited him while he was here, he was projected to them on this forum in like January.
-
Misa/Roobroeck didn't pan out so they are bringing him in early. Sucks to be Perron!

What's the word on Zaide Penner from Fargo?
