I was half joking before Bubba was "let go" about UND being serious and doubling the head coaching salary. Why these minor baby steps in salary increase? UND needs a serious "jump start" (only 87 nattys behind our neighbor). What better way than saying "highest paid in fcs"! Then they come out with bubbas new AD position and show... Yeah anything is possible.... Even paying some lady $100k+ to your buddy living in Texas on the UND payroll like President Kennedy did.

Talked to a popular former UND football player from the 90s. "Who do you want the new coach to be." ....his immediate response.... "Someone not from the program."

If you read those replies to Ralphie someone said "this is what I want for christmas" and Ralphie just copied that picture.

This would make sense why Fruechte was named interim head coach knowing his job is secure.

I guess Chaves is doing it old school style. Especially if there's no announcement Friday and the longer this drags on. Post job opening. Do interviews. Pick a coach. Which means I guess he "didn't have his guy." Caruso has a big lead in that poll. So I'm hopefully he gets it.

Chaves is a mastermind. And everyone should be kissing his feet. Blinded by hatred because your football coach wasn't winning as many games as we'd like! But the guy not only was able to get rid of Bubba the second he missed the playoffs, but he simultaneously created a new position that the university has to pay for to help UND Football! They'll name monuments and buildings after the guy!

That guy has become the biggest sellout since joining the Forum payroll. He does absolutely nothing of interest anymore.

I don't get why the excitement for leading the program for only a week and then possible unemployment? Seems to be maybe just creating confusion more than anything without knowing the details. ...or maybe adam called his buddy and got more inside news?!

So Fruetsche gets to be "interm head coach" for three days? That seems real useful....
