BU is doing ok with a new coach, but UND couldnt possibly?

At this point I'd be happy with one title game appearance the last ten years or maybe a lead in a frozen four the last 7 years.

The players UND\Hak recruites dream of playing in the NHL. Not winning a championship at UND. Its a career stepping stone.

Hakstol is probably two missed NCAA tournament appearances from being let go.

You can never have your cake and eat it too. Simply Fact in college hockey? You are either constantly winning without a natty. Or you win a natty and suck for ten years. Nothing else. No one else on this planet could ever come close to Hakstols 1-7 Frozen Four record. These are thing UND fans need to accept as UND fans.

Counting this year, the East has won 7 of the last 8 National Championships.

How long has it been since UND has even held a lead in a Frozen Four game? 7 years?

Only a 101-109 record as a head coach in the USHL is ever good enough to be the coach of UND. No one else would qualify.

Those were actually pretty good shots by BU. We never acknowledge that. "Providence wasn't good. Omaha was bad."

It wasn't a complete goalie breakdown. Plus the BU goalie literally gave UND one goal.

Well there's always next decade. I've been convinced for years when UND finally gets a new coach and wins a natty fairly soon after. People will look back on the Hakstol years as the "lost decade(s)."

BU has a title in 2009. Now with a different coach are already going back to the championship game! I thought that would be nearly impossible.

That's pretty close to UNDs current head coach record too. If Hakstol coached Omaha would they win a single game all year?
