The world beaters looked like they might have took the night off.

First game was 7,000 against Montana State.

Drivers and crime aren't correlated. But crime and "body guard" are.

So if this committee is developing the process to pick a nickname. Why aren't those questions comments being asked at these town hall meetings? I haven't see one piece on anyone's statement/opinion on it. The latest meeting was 1) don't. 2) yes soon. 3) gf and the UND community should have a say. Never anything about how to go about it. Wow that's some groundbreaking stuff at these meetings. Seems like these are just "feel good" meetings, so the administration can later say, "hey we asked your input."

Not a bad idea. A "NIT" of sort for football. But you could say that is sorta what the bowl games are now.

More tough competition in the Big Sky = more pressure to fire jones.

I will bet plenty of G5 schools will pay athletes also. UND is looking to do the same. I'll ask again. Why do you think the day has come? If anything it would seem the FBS playoff "expansion" and very likely further expansion in the future is getting G5 teams even more excited to stay FBS. I never mentioned being FBS as being "big time" or anything about UND or NDSU. I'll just keep waiting. Time will tell us who is eventually right. But my guess is it will take a long long time.

Also looking at his past records. How does this guy go from Coach at OSU finishing 10th and 8th in the conference to head coach of an NFL team the next year? Am I missing something that happened back in the day? Guy must have some pretty good connections.

Is it a case of now you'll win games you weren't "suppose to," and then next week lose to a team you weren't suppose to? This year OSU lost to Washington State who is 3-9 and then next week beat a 9-3 Arizona State both at home. (Sounds like Bubba vs Weber State and Northern Arizona but it was Bubbas first year not his 14th like Riley) I wouldn't think Nebraska fans would be happy with that either.

It's not like anything is changing. The difference in "resources" have always been massive. You think Georgia Southern and Appalachia State and all the other G5 Schools thought they could "compete" with Alabama and Auburn when they moved up? Probably not. But they did it to just be in that "league" with a shot at playing those teams, getting more scholarships, and having a "chance" to maybe just maybe upset one of those teams one day. Not to mention at least the perception of increase exposure. They knew what they were signing up for. They didn't sign up for it only to go back to FCS and get to be able to see their games scrolled at the bottom of ESPN. They want a shot to play Florida State/TCU in a Bowl Game even if it means losing (NIU). I'll ask again. What's changed? This talk of splitting FBS is far from new. It's been talked about for over 20 years. I'm still waiting...

Sounds like it could be a "hey buddy" hire.

UND supports their teams better than any other school in FCS as measured by attendance to their athletic teams events. People only have so much money, time, and energy to invest in an athletic department.

No booze = no social event. 12,000 people for the size of gf area is pretty ridiculous. It's means lot more people probably know someone who going to a game and this are probably more likely to say heck I'm not doing anything tonight. Maybe I'll go too that sounds fun (if they can afford it ).

I'm sure those teams would love to basically be dropped down to basically FCS. I doubt you'll see 3 "Division 1" conferences. There's is simply no need.

And we are starting to see the results of giving basically every penny to the REA. And them having decide where to spend "UNDs money." Pretty ridiculous to spend millions remodeling perfectly fine REA locker rooms (and a new center hung scoreboard at center ice, new concourse tvs, and a sound system) and not buy the Betty a real scoreboard.

Last year the REA gave UND $550,000. Which is about enough to pay for UNDs top three coaches. Seems small considered all those people going to hockey and basketball games.

That money goes to the ralph though and they decide what and where to spend it (new locker rooms?) and then they decide what to give UND at the end of the year.

That team had the best win percentage in hakstols coaching career by a decent margin. Yet still lost in the semis. And not even to the eventual national champ. And the regional being in fargo. UND looks to have a chance to make it to Boston. But the polls and pairwise have a big discrepancy right now for UND.

Yes. And the AD and 90% would agree that's not a fireable offense. No matter how much you want it. It won't happen. UND lost last year in the Big Sky Title game and you still wanted him gone!

I didn't support Mussman. The second he finishes 4th in the league can him. Or at least you can have a valid discussion about it. But he has yet to do that. It's simple you don't think about firing a guy that has finished top 3 in his new conference every year for a bad road OOC record. Simple statement.

I heard there's a new policy at UND. Anytime a coach has even at UND for more than five years and in any given year after if NDSU makes the playoffs and that UND sport doesn't. UND coach is automatically fired.
