Ordered one and tried it. I must say it is pretty cool. I was impressed. Can't wait for UND hockey to be broadcast...hoping by 2020. Anyone else tried it?

Well with Hawks, we get to keep the feathers which is a "Native American Imagery" so there's that at least. Probably a decent hockey helmet design.

I guess at this point in the game, if you're going to choose Hawks, we will have to eventually copy somebody. Everythings taken by the very popular name. You combine Hawks and Eagles it must be #1 name in athletics. All Aboard!

Johnson didn't say "We are analyzing the options and are still determining the best way to go about developing and picking the new logo once the new nickname is chosen." Which has been the norm this whole time. They seem to already know the process:

I do have a feeling that UND is going to have some sort of surprise unveiled that they are already planning that might be the Sioux logo turned blackhawk hawk style logo of its own. Its just felt odd Johnson kept saying "Stay Tuned." (Conspiracy Alert) Is that why the Blackhawks hawk logo became so popular? Did someone let a few leaks out and said "This is up our sleeve" (to the Student Body President)? There's also the oddly unseen by anybody, yet reported by the Herald (correction I can't find it anywhere in the Forum or Herald even though its an AP piece by Dave Kolpack hmmm), of a UND professor that made a Sioux logo morphing into a hawk ... http://www.sacbee.com/entertainment/celebrities/article42129801.html Was it planned all along? hmmmm....(end Conspiracy Alert).

When I look at the Blackhawks hawk logo, I see a logo that looks like the Blackhawks logo, which is of a man. Isn't that why its popular?

Can the hawk still look like a man with feathers even though it isn't one?

So not the "blackhawks" hawk logo?

At least "Go Hawks Go" sort of rolls off the tongue. Just don't do it this weekend at the hockey game.... Or if you go to the away game this weekend at Women's Basketball.

The last home game had 7,000 people. Last year, the last two home games were 6,000 each. This Saturday about 6,500.

I told one guy on facebook, whos profile picture was that of the "blackhawk hawk logo," That logo won't be used at UND and is owned by another company. He responded, "You don't know that." I guess he's sorta right...I guess UND could pay a bunch and buy it, but highly unlikely.
