  1. BWW North would only have it on webcast. And you'd have to imagine that a lot of places in Fargo might have the "NDSU (vs UND) Mens basketball game on" as the times overlap for the majority of the games. Probably be best to pick a place with lots of TVs (Spitfire doesn't have that many IIRC by todays standards). Just something to think about tonight.
  2. Last year.... they played in the Betty. Supposedly the Betty holds 3,300.
  3. Any place with Midco. So West Fargo and Moorhead. Moorhead has a BWW, Hooligans in West Fargo has some nice projectors with the games on usually.
  4. With the teams NDSU has had the last half decade. They probably wish they had a larger stadium and were FBS. They'd probably would have won a few bowl games and maybe be playing the Gophers in a bowl this year. Every team starts somewhere.
  5. Few hours til game time and 250+ tickets still remain. Will it sell out or will UND Fighting Hawks fans stay home and watch the hockey team beat Duluth?
  6. The "bar" is on the West side of the stands in the middle. The veteran (smart) drinking basketball fans make sure to buy tickets on that side. It opens up to the court for an easy walking distance to your seat.
  7. So I guess we are jumping to conclusions that the movie is really "How About We Keep Sioux." And not a historical picture of how UND lost its name.
  8. Take what the mole says with a grain of salt.
  9. Surprised you only said 15 points.
  10. Hearing about Romos, I did so googling to try and check it out sometime. I'm getting a Romos on Broadway and one on 13th. Seems they are connected. I assuming the 13th one is the one to check out?
  11. Yeah because clogging actual threads with this inevitable discussion that always comes up is a much better place. While the initial posts were joking around it was in response to it being discussed off topic in the football forums. And look how fast it came up again in the football forums sending those threads off topic (he moderated them here). Should be happy this thread exists. Not my fault its a topic UND fans like to discuss.
  12. How much does the REA pull in on a weekend hockey game? $1.5 million before expenses?
  13. They get to keep the profits and give UND whatever they want at the end. Renovating those hockey locker rooms and others ain't cheap.
  14. Would have been fun to watch this season as they had their first FBS win, went through mid season adversity losing the starting qb, and then dominated opponents at the end of the season. Hockey sells out. Football could always use more marketing.
  15. Take out the student section, and season tickets....They have sold about 65% of the single game tickets with only a couple days away? It's not like the Betty is very big to begin with.
  16. ^ Are you two the same person?
  17. I can't believe how many tickets are still available for this game only three days away. And the silence of this "rivalry game" is deafening.
  18. I guess those resources ran out?
  19. Jacks 84 Gophers 70
  20. Yup. Take it here:
  21. Well the top three teams in the country reside in the east right now.
  22. Back to Back Championships for Denver. Ending UND's season both those years. One vs Hak. One vs Blais. Hak never took his own "recruited players as a head coach" to a National Championship game.
  23. Yeah my bad. No college hockey team is ever the same from year to year. That "variable" is constant. There's another contradiction (or is that an oxymoron) for ya.
  24. Huh? The "talking points" are from watching hockey over the years. Not from the "experts" here on this site. You didn't have to pay that close attention to know Zane was awesome and left early and nobody behind him barely played. You didn't have to pay that close attention to know UND lost a lot of scoring and replaced them with freshman. It is a huge surprise. Virtually nobody saw this coming. There was a lot of unknowns coming into this season. That's probably why they were picked third in the league. UND is doing great. I hope they keep it up. There was only one variable that was replaced. I answered a question if this team would probably have the same record with Hak. I answered with pretty well thought out points of how Hakstol had a lot of years and more talented teams to try and never started a season like this. Some think its pure coincidence and that's just as silly. That isn't to say this team could loss in the first round and Hak could have gotten to the Frozen Four again. Maybe Berry peaks early in the season and Hak's were later in the season. We don't know. We do know peaking later in the season is better than peaking early. Years from now someone might ask "Do Berry's teams peak too early in the season?" That answer could possibly be yes. But we sure hope not. I don't remember a year we didn't think oh "this might be the year Hak gets the monkey off his back." But I agree I never said anything about dump and chase.
