    I had low expectations and I don't think they were met. So now we don't have "just a logo" anymore but will always be accompanies by "ND". That's a fail. It'll look good on the football helmet but that hockey jersey was fugly.

    If you had a TV show about a college sports team from the midwest and wanted to keep it as generic and safe as possible you could nickname it Fighting Hawks.....Screaming Eagles.

    It'll be interesting to see what other stations pick them up...I wonder if it'll be the same ones? I know there's a map on the und athletics page that's a handy guide.

    I'm would have to assume just like before it is available statewide and not just the one station for the entire state. It's the "base station" and affiliates pick it up across the entire state.

    I don't know what cell phone reception is like in western ND. But lakes country, deep in state park campgrounds, and on the family farm I'm don't think I've ever lost LTE service. My car isn't blue tooth enabled but I bought a Bluetooth device that plugs into the aux port and wireless connects to my phone allowing my phone to play wirelessly through the cars speakers. It's how I've listen to UND sports whenever driving (and GF talk radio).

    One prediction for Tomek to beat Cam for starter toward the end of the season. And another prediction is Rinks will beat out Tomek to be the backup placing Tomek 3rd string. I'll take c.

    I do keep hearing Grand Forks is a lot more expensive place to live than Fargo.

    So you're saying they have 3 times the demand and the price is three times cheaper? (Is that math right? Ha) Maybe the Alerus should look into it for people that wish to not drink and/or not pay so much to tailgate.

    I can go tailgate at NDSU on gameday for $5 a spot Vs the $15 for UND.

    I hadn't been there for awhile til last month, they have added a nice outdoor patio area.

    Listening to Justice TV (newer OTA station because I'm a "settler") in the background I kept hearing "North Dakota" "Grand Forks"...apparently it was about the unsolved murder of Russell Turcotte. Like Fargo's Tom Bearson apparently...I guess they don't want the public to know how he died only claiming "homicidal violence" (someone killed him), because it's "sensitive to the investigation" (I don't buy it) they will never solve (in September it will be two years).

    Don't get me started. Once I was "two minutes late" (the game was about to start) to cleaning up my tailgating spot**** which drew the Police and Alerus personnel to "monitor" (more like hassle) me til I left my vehicle area. Never mind the fact I pointed out people all around me still at their tailgating spots....but of course I was/ am "younger" which meant I was the popular spot where "every one" was hanging out playing beer pong and "air hockey" and drew the crowds (current hockey players even stopped to give compliments and play..... not to mention all the tailgating neighbors). Again, like most things in life its the small things that add up over time that turn people away, and makes it three times harder to get them to come back (who were the easiest to get them there originally: 'Early Adopter'.) ***(which I've pointed out here before costs me $60 in tailgating parking that day ($15 to get into the Alerus to watch the game)....one truck...."large" trailer that took up two spots and one spot to setup the games - clearly the pricing isn't based on supply and demand as the "designed tailgating" spots are about only a little over half seem to be used most games).

    Here's a crazy thought....tailgating should be like parking....first come first serve and not three times the price. Most things in life you prepay/get there early you get a discount. If anything it should be a third the price. Tailgating is a key part to making football games an "experience" lets do everything we can to detour it....

    And too that point. The "pro" aspect is probably just as much about skill as it about perception of skill (like a lot of things in life). You don't make the NHL right away you will get lost in the minors among all others...long term that one or two extra years in college pays dividends.

    I don't want to take too much away from moo u's honeymoon. You add up all the pro money and it's like 10:1? But lets let them try and shine for once.

    Schatz took over the lead about half way through and never looked back. Third in a row at RC speedway.

    I know a former UND player currently in the NHL who could buy out Wentzs contract.
