  1. "It was more than just booing him." "It was because they booed him a lot."
  2. Boeser is the top returning points producer in the country.
  3. Big Macs are better than Whoppers because I have a bunch of facts to prove it. It sells more. It has two pattys. It has special sauce. You don't seem to see how you are trying to argue opinions is stupid and pointless and there really isn't any "deep insight and analysis" you can do in hypothetical situations. What you love it to try and rile up people for how much you think the CHL is better than the NCAA. The truth is the CHL is on the decline for the last decade while college hockey has prospered. You'd think the CHL, the best players in the hockey world right before go straight to Stanley Cup Playoff MVPs, would be a bigger deal in a country who's #1 sport is hockey. The CHL should be sending way more hockey players to the NHL than it does. *
  4. Q would dominate London.
  5. Exactly the point.
  6. London could go toe to toe with the Gophers.
  7. Michigans top line is better than Londons.
  8. NCAA alums have scored all five goals for the Penguins so far. I only watched a few minutes here and there...and as I mentioned in the outdoor classic game. They sure seem to make an emphasis on NCAA players...I saw them mention (I believe) the someone playing or against BU in the championship game. And then again for the Penguins OT winner interview about his college.
  9. If you want to play for a Championship in front of 7,000 fans in Red Deer, Alberta go to CHL. If you want to play for a Championship in front of 19,000 fans in an NHL arena choose NCAA.
  10. That was quick. You check this site every few minutes? Still struggling to learn how to use a computer properly I see.
  11. Anyone can beat anyone. UND won the championship, yet lost hockey games to very subpar competition (cough wisconsin cough) despite only losing a handful of games. And to turn it around UND could win games against AHL. Don't see why not. Chemistry plays a big role in hockey. And the best teams don't always win. And to turn it around again the top team in the USHL would probably also be competitive with the best of major junior hockey teams...
  12. You can watch it online. NBC Sports. Just sign in with your cable login.
  13. CHL continues to produce less and less NHL talent while more and more attend college hockey. Between college hockey players now getting paid, along with the NHL knowing the way to increase its market is to market its former college hockey players; the CHL feels threatened.
  14. Believe 07. Member Jennies or was it Jeanies? Isn't that an auto parts store now? Seems they are everywhere and the old Playmaker lot too IIRC.
  15. Size is way to big for most, especially local restaurants. Add in the age, location, and cost to remodel/tear down. That building is a lost cause. It's makes way more sense to lease in a strip mall on 32nd or build new. In an area where people actually go to the mall & surrounding businesses. Just down the street next door to taco Johns, another good location, that nobody can seem to make work (not to mention the old Hardee's/Dickies building).
  16. It would also be one hell of a game UND vs some AHL teams. We could go round and round.
  17. Second best attendance is the nation for a new conference is hardly "struggling."
  18. I think this is the guy who basically called Bismarck (paraphrasing) a bunch of racists (reading between the lines because he now lives in big bad liberal Fargo)....couple articles about him organizing the protest few weeks ago including rob ports say anything blog.
  19. And a $2 remote to lock and unlock the car in the officers pocket could solve that "issue."
  20. Me in the library at Lewis and Clark Elementary about 20 some years ago, a young Cratter wasnt paying attention to the librarian during the learning of the Dewey decimal system days. She wasn't happy and claimed "This is important stuff! You'll need to know it for the rest of your life!" And then computers came out to search the data base....which begs the question how did one know what books were on hand and the subjects before computers? Big indexes on hand?...maybe I should have paid attention as I'd know more about "history." Lol "Dad what's that old adandoned building? That use to be what was called a library: a house of books...people used to read them on paper..and that building? Used to be a place to rent VHS tapes..."VHS tapes?."
  21. You got a new laptop, you get a new laptop....the $2,000,000 it costs to run the library a year would buy a new computer every year for 12% of the entire Grand Forks population....or better yet 70% of residents can get a new Amazon Fire Tablet every year. http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Fire-7-Inch-Tablet-8GB/dp/B00TSUGXKE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1464233501&sr=8-2&keywords=amazon+kindle 98% of Grand Forks residents already have internet access.
  22. ....maybe if skill mattered more in the Hobey.
  23. For the cost of a new library, every person in Grand Forks could be given a brand new laptop. And the $2,000,000 plus a year it takes to run the current library (how much to run a newer larger one? $4,000,000 a year?) Would buy a lot of wifi throughout town (if not it's entirety.)
  24. There's already a public library very close to downtown GF.
  25. Hey UNDBIZ it's about that time....
